THE RAPTURE

The Greek myth tells that when Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, realizes that her daughter Kore is not with her, she enters into a great desolation, that maternal bond is broken by the abduction that Hades makes when Kore was picking flowers and in an oversight of her friends the nymphs, with whom she was playing, Hades (king of the underworld) opened a crack in the earth and takes her to live with him in the underworld and becomes Persephone, she is no longer Kore, she is Persephone.

THE LINK WITH THE MOTHER

This action of Hades makes Demeter enter into a deep sadness, who, being the Goddess of crops, prevented them from continuing to bear fruit, in the midst of such hunger and desolation, Zeus makes a pact with Hades to allow Persephone to return to her mother, but Hades gives her pomegranate seeds to eat, which would make her return to the underworld depending on the amount she eats. Persephone ate 6 and that is why she had to spend 6 months above and 6 months in the underworld.

RETURNING TO YOU

When Persephone returns to her mother, the earth blooms, crops are grown and it is the cycle of spring. This is the myth that interprets the seasons, the beginnings. And to my way of thinking it tells the cycles of life itself of our beginnings, of going from children to adults, of encountering love and heartbreak, of preserving our sacred bonds, that of the mother, that of the earth, that of creation, that of entering into our own introspection so that the divinity that we are may blossom, so that our origin may remind us of the size of our greatness.

Persephone is the one who keeps the secrets of the dead and she is also the one who loves Hades although she was kidnapped, she returns to him and eats the pomegranate accepting his charms and in that deception he seals her return and we return again and again to the depths and come to the light, because life has processes, relationships, loves, misfortunes, encounters and we are always free.

With this nurturing framework of a way of living the bonds, I invite you to look at the times you have been in those moments:

That moment when you loved and you stopped being a child.

How did you live in that moment, when looking at your mother has the importance of validation?

Who abducted you?

How were your journeys into the underworld of your life, of your relationships, of your existence?

What love story can you tell?

What did they give you to drink or eat that brought you back?

What have your cycles of life and death in love been like?

Dear @holos-lotus this September 19, when only a few days left for the descent of Persephone to the underworld, I made the presentation of my monograph to certify me as a Biodanza Teacher, the theme of my presentation is inspired by the myth of Persephone and a part of my presentation was called Persephone. Committing Spring. Here is an excerpt of that meaning:

Persephone is the journey to the depths of existence, to the transformation of the girl, to be a woman, to lose myself in the charms of prohibitions, the learned belief of sin, the guilty, femininity, the mother, the containment, the creator and reincarnate the lived, to return to the origin, to bloom, to offer the possibility of a kind context from my return but there will always be that alternative to come and go, to be vital, to be reborn in enjoyment and joy, to create new and better forms of life, to affect myself and let myself be affected, moving me in the dual affections and transcending by being myself. 

    It is necessary to commit springtime dancing with movement as a resource, feeling a thousand times, without perpetual chain, from the enjoyment, to return to the origin and to return to the dark desires...
