How do we plant rice in the fields? & Valuable experience from a very useful science

Good afternoon to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

Today I woke up very early because today I will do a very fun and tiring activity, which is planting rice in the fields, of course the one who invited me was my father who asked me to help him plant rice in the fields, I was happy to help him because this is also useful for me because I get new knowledge from how to plant rice. Exactly at 07.00 in the morning I went to the fields where when I arrived at the fields I had seen 6 female workers who were pulling rice from the nursery.

My father hired female workers to help him pull out the rice seedlings in the nursery, because it took a very long time to pull out the rice seedlings so my father hired six workers where the more workers, the faster it was finished. These are rice seedlings that have been planted for 12 to 14 days ago and now the rice seedlings are ready to be pulled out and planted.

The rice seedlings that have been pulled out will later be tied into a pile of bundles which function to make it easier for other workers to lift the bundles of rice to then be taken to the rice fields to be planted, this is a very common thing in my place and this is how people plant rice in my place, everything still looks very traditional and manual, so this sight makes me feel a sense of togetherness and the preservation of local customs and culture.

Usually when the rice planting season arrives, my younger sibling, father and mother will definitely go to the rice fields to help each other to speed up the completion of the work, but unfortunately at this time my mother can no longer go to the rice fields because she has to rest first because yesterday she just finished chemotherapy which means she has to rest a lot so she can be completely healthy again, besides that my father is also old where we as his young children do not burden him too much, so my younger sibling and I have to work hard to be able to speed up the completion of this work.

It seems like my little brother is collecting rice seeds to be taken to the rice fields that will be planted with rice, because this nursery is in a rice field area on the side of the road where we have to take the rice seeds to several other rice fields so they can be planted. It does look very tiring, but if done together, this work might feel much lighter and more enjoyable.

I myself also do it seriously but I still try to capture every moment well, so that I can share some of these images here.

The rice seeds that have been brought to several fields must also be arranged neatly, and the reason the rice seeds are arranged is because it makes it easier for workers to plant them smoothly, because this work is done manually and traditionally. Continue reading this post until the end so you don't miss other interesting information about how to plant rice in my area.

And after the female workers had pulled out all the rice seedlings in the nursery, they started walking to the rice field area where there were already rice seedlings to immediately plant the rice. However, before they planted the rice, they first took a short break to restore their stamina that had been drained.

And the way they plant rice is also very unique, they walk backwards because that is the correct way to plant rice, because if they plant rice while walking forward then they will definitely step on the rice that has been planted before, that's the logic. And they take a few strands of rice plants and start to stick them into the ground but I don't really understand how deep they stick the rice seeds into the ground, because honestly I myself have never done it, but if I pay attention to the workers, it is likely that what makes them feel pain is in their waist because they have to always bend over to be able to plant rice, but that is the risk of every job that exists.

It seems that this is indeed a very long job, because they have to take some strands of rice plants that will be planted into the ground, but if done together then everything will be easier and of course faster. So in a matter of minutes they have succeeded in planting rice almost half of the rice field area.

Until approximately 45 minutes later they finally succeeded in planting rice in one of the rice fields, wow that looked very tiring.

This is what the rice fields look like before planting rice.

This is what the rice fields look like after planting rice.

But after they succeeded in planting rice in the fields, I immediately said goodbye to my father to go home because I had to do some of my other activities, after getting permission from my father I went straight home.

Well, those are some pictures and stories from me in this post, I really hope this post can provide entertainment for all my friends
