RE: CLOSED - Coffee Conversation: EVENT 80 (AUG 17 - 19)

Excellent Sunday conversation coffee lovers.

Today we have a bittersweet question to answer. To be honest, since I was very young I was taught to drink coffee with sugar, it is a lifelong habit that is difficult to get rid of from one day to the next. What I have tried to do is to train my palate, lowering the amount of sugar in coffee, to get used to the bitterness of coffee. Let's say I'm in that new mental self-programming. Haha.

I want to be able to enjoy a bitter coffee and enjoy those flavors that the sweet one covers, besides giving up sugar is beneficial for the body since we avoid serious diseases such as diabetes and others.🍯

That is my contribution to the question of the conversation, I hope to continue reading you and know your preferences.

I wish you a week full of success and lots of coffee ☕.

Now, as I read your comment I remember that my process of excluding sugar from coffee was similar to yours. I started to gradually decrease the sugar addition until I reached a sugar negative cup of coffee. 😁

I know many people who have reduced their intake of sugar gradually; it seems the easiest way to go. I, however, did it all of a sudden; I was terrified when I saw my fasting blood glucose was nearly 100 as it'd always been under 75. I realized it was the little sugar in the 8-10 shots of coffee I had in a day while in office hours. I quit it at once. Now I wish I could quit sugar in everything else, but I'm weak! 🙊🙈

I also grew up in an environment where it is a religion to put sugar in coffee, but little by little, as you get older, you decrease the sugar in your coffee and you easily get sick of the kind of coffee you normally grew up with.
As for coffee there is something for everyone.
Enjoy your coffee ☕️
