Corrigiendo derrame de aceite con cabulina a motor Ford 460 [ESP-ENG]

Hola querida comunidad está semana estoy muy contenta de poder saludarlos una vez más. En esta oportunidad quiero hablarles de un trabajo que realizaron mis hermanos al camión de papá como ya les había comentado anteriormente mi padre tiene un camión Dodge año 78.

Es una gran ventaja en todo aspecto el que ellos sean los que reparen el camión así se ahorran gastos en mano de obra. Así que ellos mismos desmontan piezas, desarman, reparan y arman. La semana pasada se tuvo que sacar el motor y les digo que de verdad es un trabajo que requiere bastante esfuerzo. La razón por la que se vieron en la necesidad de sacar el motor fue corregir un bote de aceite en la parte trasera del motor (cojinete) y es que el bote era muy significativo 2 litros de aceite al día y como comprenderán era realmente un gasto excesivo de aceite.

Hello dear community this week I am very happy to be able to greet you once again. This time I want to tell you about a job my brothers did on my dad's truck, as I told you before, my father has a '78 Dodge truck.

It is a great advantage in every aspect that they are the ones who repair the truck so they save on labor costs. So they disassemble parts, disassemble, repair and reassemble it themselves. Last week the engine had to be removed and I tell you, it really is a job that requires a lot of effort. The reason why they had to remove the engine was to correct an oil can in the rear part of the engine (bearing) and the can was very significant, 2 liters of oil per day and as you can understand it was really an excessive waste of oil.

De verdad que algunas piezas desconozco el nombre y me pareció bastante complicado el trabajo y estar a un lado de ellos sacando las fotografías y luego preguntar su nombre y la función de cada pieza ¡Imagínense se necesita más que paciencia! Pero aún así logré sacarle provecho a este trabajo al máximo, primero porque hacía mucho tiempo que no estaba con mis hermanos viendo hacer una trabajo de mecánica a la vez fue divertido 🤭.

Primero fue quitarle todos los componentes necesarios al motor entre esos radiador, múltiples de escape, las bases de la caja, las mangueras del compresor de aire, también separarlo de la caja, para luego con una señorita (como comúnmente se le llama) poder bajar el motor.

I really don't know the name of some parts and I found the work quite complicated and being next to them taking pictures and then asking their name and the function of each part, imagine you need more than patience! But I still managed to get the most out of this job, first because it had been a long time since I was with my brothers watching a mechanical work at the same time was fun 🤭.

First was to remove all the necessary components to the engine among those radiator, exhaust manifolds, the bases of the box, the air compressor hoses, also separate it from the box, and then with a lady (as it is commonly called) to lower the engine.

Luego ya estado fuera se le quitó la bomba de agua, prensa o plato y disco, damper que va instado al Cigüeñal, también el depósito de aceite o Carter, el colador de aceite que esta con la bomba de aceite. Luego quitar las conchas de biela para sacar el Cigüeñal.

¡Llegamos donde queríamos! a dónde está el origen de la falla, se necesita sustituir la cabulina o empaquetadura mecánica que se le había colocado antes, originalmente va una estopera media luna pero se le coloca cabulina 3 octavos ya que está perdura más y aguanta la presión. Ya que anteriormente se le colocaba la estopera pero lastimosamente eran de mala calidad y frecuentemente se tenía que hacer este enorme trabajo para poder sustituirla.

El trabajo no es simple puesto que se colocó la cabulina y luego montar el
Cigüeñal para luego ajustarlo para que la cabulina quedará bien ajustada al motor. Luego volver a desmontar el cigüeñal para asegurarse que la cabulina quedara bien apretada y a la medida para no dar lugar a otra fuga.

Then the water pump, press or plate and disc, damper that is installed to the crankshaft, also the oil reservoir or Carter, the oil strainer that is with the oil pump were removed. Then remove the crank shells to remove the crankshaft.

We got to where we wanted! where is the origin of the failure, it is necessary to replace the mechanical packing that had been placed before, originally it is a half-moon packing but it is placed 3-eighths packing since it lasts longer and withstands the pressure. Previously, the packing was placed but unfortunately it was of poor quality and frequently we had to do this huge job to replace it.

The work is not simple since the cabulina was placed and then the crankshaft was mounted and then adjusted. Crankshaft and then adjust it so that the cabulina will be well adjusted to the engine. Then the crankshaft was disassembled again to make sure that the end cap was tightened properly and to the right size so as not to cause another leak.

Luego nuevamente instalar todas la piezas para montar el motor al motor.
