# The Splintergains report - Renting it all out for a change - Splinter Stats Season 65 Report Card
@riandeuk
As I didn't have much time this season to play Splinterlands I decided to rent it all out and see what it would get me. So the report will be rather boring from a playing perspective but quite interesting from a passive investing view. Let's dive right in!
General sale and card airdrops
General sale started and successfully too if you ask me! The first 3 airdrop cards were released real soon and I got quite lucky with these, o yeah I haven't said anything about my buy yet. Well I was able to gather 60 Xchaos which won't count to my airdrop directly but I get distributed dec each day passively for holding these (price dropped rapidly after the packs got dropped so I'm definitely holding as intended) apart from that I bought 1000 packs in the general sale right after launch and used 150 vouchers to get a total of 1150 counting to airdrops. Should be able to guarantee atleast 1 of each card!
So far I got 2 Gold foil legendaries which helped me get enough power for Gold league, finally! But we'll see that for next season, I got Grum and Lira in a gold foil and 6 copies of Iza which got her to lvl 3 which is higher than a gold anyway so not complaining there either.

Haha 1 rare card, that's it. No commons, epics, legendaries. which is weird actually would have expected a common if anything.. For completeness I'll include the history again though:
Collection progress since last season
Both value and power are way up! In part because of the airdrops but also because I've been buying into chaos using credits from affiliate rewards. Apparently have some proper degenerates between my referrals, really appreciate these rewards and helped me buy some leveled summoners and staple cards. Still haven't opened a single pacl, wait no exactly 1 single pack which was gifted. But still holding the 1210 I bought to get SPS airdrops and will wait with opening any till after the summoners are dropped and SPS airdrop concludes (I think, not sure which comes first and if I can still be patient after).
Will definitely keep packs to sell later down the line but not all..

Revenue | 1723.878 (86.092) |
Expenses | (47.500) |

So this one is interesting for this season: close to 1600 dec in rental income, which makes sense I was just over 100 dec a day most of the time. So this was slightly lower than total earnings last season. Still not bad at all for a passive gain!
SPS Report
Type | Amount Claimed |
---|---|
Airdrop | 168.389 |
Staking Rewards | 18.175 |
NET SPS | 186.564 |
+ Voucher Drops | 2.981 VOUCHER |
186 sps in nice, but this number is gonna pump hard next season, all those packs and I even bought a plot, airdropped cards, much more staked, more rewards. I'm currently staking 50 a day which really helps to move the SPS stake forward coming months :-)
Great to experience how a passive season still reaps some gains and gave me some time to get used to being a dad and spend some family time. But I'm glad to be playing and moving up the ranks again and participating in brawls too. Hope you enjoyed the report and I'dlove to hear about your season or experiences with the general sale in the comments!
And if you're not yet playing yet make sure you sign up for Splinterlands here and play some test battles for free. If you leave me a comment I'll try to help you out and answer any questions you might have.
On to the next season!

I've thought about just saying "screw it" and renting all my cards out at end of season for the high rental prices, but enjoy opening EOS chests so much. And now with the chance of getting packs in there, I'm even more excited!
I actually just rented them out from the start of the season and don't really hunt for the high EOS pricing. I get it can be tempting though. Still felt bad to cancel the rentals as some were aimed to go for very long but needed the power back to get into gold now. Hope to be able to rent out for extended periods of time in the future. I take long term over quick gains any day :-)
And yes 100% agree on the chests it's a lot of fun. Although they pale in comparison to the card and sps airdrops after buying a lot of packs :-P
Thanks for dropping by!

Name checks out ;-)
But indeed, it's one of the things I'll be building out long term. Although at the moment I'd also like to progress through the leagues as I also find battling more interesting when more abilities come into play.
Gladius cards have been a nice way to increase the power so I have more of the tradeable cards available to rent out
