# The Splintergains report - last season of the year and some big life events! - Splinter Stats Season 64 Report Card

My last report was completely shitty, apologies but I had a good reason I'm going to share in just a bit. Because I didn't have time to properly fix it I chose not to submit it to the official challenge as that felt wrong. The Splinterlands season we're looking at in this report was the last one of 2021 and was kinda slow for me. The next year will be huge though, so I'll talk a bit on that and what my future plans are.

So what happened lately and why was my latest report so bad?

The night after I wrote my concept report

The night I wrote my report the website crashed and I had to start over, to save time and some sleep I decided to write some bare minimals and fix it later. Glad on that sleep part as hours later my girl went into labour and the day after our son was born! Big fella too, so we had to stay in the hospital for some extra checks but everything was alright and the next day we were good to go home. Needless to say the weeks after were filled with little sleep, diapers and lots of family time. Great thing about Splinterlands (and @peakmonsters!) is that you can easily rent out your cards in a few clicks on peakmonsters.com. So I listed every single card I have and this made me over 100 dec a day without me doing anything. I even noticed some of my referrals buying large quantities of potions while I was having some time away from the game. This stuff keeps amazing me, so much opportunities.. So the next report will be a full season of renting, always nice to see a comparison between playing and renting out!

General sale on the 17th, going balls deep

It really is almost there now. Had a good talk with the girlfriend and she's a bit of a degenerate it turns out, she agreed to take a little risk (more than I expected haha) and I'm all set to go big in general sale. How much exactly I'll declare later but it's gonna be good for SPS, some guaranteed card airdrops and well just about everything. Gonna open a bunch with potions I already have and hold a big chunk on hive engine for recouping the investment at some point but also to hopefully get into land and also for a long term hold, say years down the line.

Dr. Blight give away

Almost forgot, are you aware there's a Dr. Blight give away happening this very moment? Yeah thought so.. and no this is real but for some reason it's not filling up. There's 777 tickets and each one needs to be taken before the draw is done. It's a free for all and anyone can join. You're free to join any of the other paid raffles too but this is no requirement at all. All that is needed is to get in the discord and type the /buyticket command and follow the prompts. Sure it's just a 1 in 777 chance but this card is never going to be in your pack so that chance is zero. I'm a total discord noob and am amazed with all these bots and commands haha. So that's that, super excited to get to higher leagues, build a solid chaos deck and enjoy all the bonuses. I fully expect to get some more affiliate credits and I'll be sniping singles with that too. Let's see the actual performance now:

Not a lot of battles but a decent ratio, had to skip some tournaments because the baby showed up early, next time eh! It's great to be in silver consistently but I'm sure I could easily hang in gold or even diamond with the collection power and a bit of smart building on the deck. Next season will be bronze of al the renting out but after that it's time to move forward again.

Just 1800 dec total reward value, ever since my stack of quest potions ran out I feel like rewards are so slow even in silver. It's so much more fun to open 5+ chest after a quest. Didn't have much luck either, or maybe I just need bigger numbers.

Collection progress since last season

So the progress here can still be seen in CP (they switched from dec notation to burn value, makes more sense I believe). Market prices have come down some more and I expect this to be even more so in general sale. A sale indeed ;-) Better scoop up what you need!

Even though the Splinterlands market feels low right now if we take a look at the earlier values below it's still well above the dollar value 6 seasons ago. That's about 3 months back and we're in this for the long term: years not months!

Last season renting summoners as the next I cancelled these as I wasn't playing anyway. I'll probably try to stay away from renting myself unless it makes a lot of sense. This should be in the green each time from here on out!

Another ~200 SPS, I really want to increase this part and be able to join some tournaments with the good rewards and when player staking becomes available plus all other benefits in the work. he price is low now so might buy it straight but even just the airdrops should increase immensely with general sale, as a whole of course but I think my personal buy will more than make up for that, time will tell..

Well, slow season but lot of great things happened regardless, almost there now. Tell me your plans and strategies for the general sale, what do you think the market will do? Dec back to peg?
