# The Splintergains report - New cards, new raffles, new opportunities - Splinter Stats Season 56 Report Card
@riandeuk
Alright, I'm gonna have to write these reports earlier in the season. Tomorrow the current season will end so another one is ready to go already! Anyway I still wanna do these so let's go, some highlights of the latest developments first.
- New reward cards
There's a set of new reward cards finally released! It's a total of 21 cards and they will be printing much more of these than earlier sets, which is logical seeing there's many more players now and even more in the not too distant future (well at least we think so with the way things are going). The cards have some really cool skills and stats but I have yet to try most and get them from chests so more on these next time.
- Current league to determine season rewards
Yes, this is kinda harsh for rentals, but let's be honest those were going crazy each season anyway. As of the coming season end (tomorrow) the CURRENT rank will count as to determine how many chests you get at season end. I think the many new reward cards should help a lot in building a deck to own for everyone. Baby steps maybe, but steps nonetheless.
So that's the most important updates I think, now let's see what the season looked like for gains:
Match Report
Performance
Stat | # |
---|---|
Gold Rank | 1269 |
Rating | 2725 - Gold I |
Rating High | 2857 |
Ratio (Win/Loss) | 0.95 (172/182) |
Tournament Ratio (Win/Loss+Draw) | 1.56 (28/18/0) |
Tournament Reward Placements | 0/4 |
Longest Streak | 8 |
Ouch, below 1.0 ratio. It's been a rough season and struggled a lot getting dailies done. It is what it is, not too concerned really. I experimented with a lot of new cards too so that could explain a bit of the extra losses. Better next time! I'm sure the new cards are gonna help with that.

Seems like some stats are currently not showing due to the Splinterlands API, works for me! Straight to the good part: dem gainz..
What did we actually earn from this seasons chests and ranked battles.
Ok, I have to mention that this season had very little reward cards still being printed. Days of only dec and potions (even with a quest potion for 5 extra chests) were very regular. This luckily changes with the new reward cards (50% of the chests has cards now!). Naturally, we see very little cards here. Sort of surprised to actually see 4 epics still. But no gold or legendary, I thiiiink that will be different next season, or at least I hope so..
However, looking at total dec value earned: 31k+, that ain't bad at all. Close to last seasons loot. So we happy? Yeah we happy alright!
Collection progress since last season
But how did the dollar value and collection power develop this season? As I'm writing this report veeeery late, this is a bit skewed again (but since I was a bit late last time I guess we can say not that bad haha)
Well that's a first, the dollar value went down instead of up.. Makes sense, the growth as tremendous but the market cap has also seen a slight decline lately. Stilll a lot of money, I'd like to say a lot for a 12 dollar investment. But at this point I'm starting to use earnings from hive and giveaways/contests to buy into the game. On the other hand I also took a lot of dec out of the game to invest in liquidity pool on cubfinance while the SPS airdrop is running. In short: it's hard to keep track how much the investment really was at this point. But most of it was earned in the game through playing. That's a fact. And the total collection power is up again, finally above 20k! A goal reached :-)
Peakmonsters value+power progression (Reversed chronological order):
$ 781.06 using Market Prices // 20,680 DEC
$ 916.74 using Market Prices // 17,650 DEC
$ 316.49 using Market Prices // 14,840 DEC

Rental Report
Type | DEC (fees) |
---|---|
Revenue | 2440.031 (122.000) |
Expenses | (10069.641) |
Cancellation Refunds | 3975.347 |
NET | (3776.263) |
Interesting, everything considered I "only" spent just short of 4k on rentals, expected it to be higher honestly. I do feel renting is becoming less lucrative as too many people are doing it. And some quite mindlessly just renting whatever to get further without calculating the expected return etc. Might tone down and just build my owned cards more with the rental income and a bit less chests. Or maybe I'll join some raffles some of my guildies set up on discord, one of them actually programmed a bot that allows for many raffles ro run at the same time. If you're looking to try your luck and have a go at some expensive cards have a look over at the discord: https://discord.gg/cpHw2RkxMj or if you just want to have a chat and see what it is about, that's fine too no pressure :-)
SPS Report
Type | Amount Claimed |
---|---|
Airdrop | 108.905 |
Staking Rewards | 12.003 |
NET | 120.908 |
120 more SPS earned this season, that's quite a bit in 2 weeks time. This is starting to become a nice passive flow of income. The APR has been dropping though, price as well. To me this is a long time hold with many benefits in the game (or so we've been promised and I think they'll keep it) while doing so.
Another exciting season is done, but with the new cards just out and the new chaos legion set soon to be released I feel it's only just getting started. Hope you enjoyed the report and tell me about your favorite new card in the comments!

Well Done
40x in nine seasons even excluding SPS well done :D
Thanks Mr. rental :-) not bad at all, compare that to power: only x4!
Really need to get above 100k. How's the rentals going? I kinda miss locking in long term rentals as we could in 1.0, but it's not great now for either party I guess, since the dec don't count towards the airdrop and the market is so volatile.
volatile. getting crushed as the new season begins, but earnings were good at the end of last season, cant complain
Good to hear :-) I imagine the rental system will be tweaked and updated more over time too
