An Unforgettable Adventure

Seeking adventure is one of my favorite since I was a young boy. I love to discover new places especially those that are newly discovered wonders of nature. When I came to Manila, my eagerness to discover or explore the places that I still didn't know yet becomes more extensive. And to start with, I came to decide to join my co-workers in discovering the wonders of the Minalungao National Park.

Hello everyone in this community. This is my first time to post a blog in this community, hoping that you might get an interest to read these one.

Minalungao National Park is one of the most popular tourist spot in Central Luzon. It is located in the municipality of General Tinio in Nueva Ecija. The main attraction of the park is it's wide Peñarada River which is flowing in between the high towering limestone rocks. The river was clean and very alluring for swimming, cliff jumping and bamboo rafting with its clear and turquoise water. The park also have zipline to ride, a hanging bridge to cross and the 1000 steps up to the shrine. This park is a great weekend getaway among locals and even for foreign tourists.

How I end up there?

It happens during when I was on my On the job Training (OJT). That time I was assigned in the area of Bulacan wherein it's just my first month there when that outing happened. That time the Team North Area already planned to go on outing when they get all of their incentives. Luckily, the plan was successful.

It was late afternoon of Saturday, after we finished all the schedules and works that are assigned to us that day, we all prepared the things that are needed during our trip especially the foods. We all meet at the Shell Gasoline Station in Meycauyan Bulacan and left the place at around 6:00 PM. We travel for almost 5 hours that time when we finally arrived at Nueva Ecija at the house of our co-worker Joey. When we arrived in there we prepared a dish made out of duck meat for the additional foods and slept for a while.

Early in the morning, we prepared and travel again for almost an hour before we finally arrived at our destination. When we arrived there, there's already a lot of people there, even it's still early in the morning. After we finally booked for a cottage, we rested and ate our breakfast first. Meanwhile, we decided to went to the hanging bridge and capture some photos.

And we went to the "1000 steps" up to the hill wherein theres a huge cross and a shrine at the top and went down again to ate our lunch.

After we finished our lunch we already soaked ourselves in the river. The water was cold and you can really see the water is clean. We even saw a lot of fish and some monkeys above us in the stones. You can really see that they took really good care of the river and it's natural resources. There are also many life guards on duty everywhere because the water is deep and crowded. We just stayed in the floating cottage until we decided to go home. Sad to say we missed out to visit their beautiful caves and the Zipline as well.

Ending Thoughts

It was a tiring day for all of us but despite all of that the enjoyment we felt that day was just awesome and I want to visit the place again if I will be given a chance to.

That would be all for this blog!
Thank you and have a good day ahead.
