Mayor Giving Everyone In Town $1,000 Worth Of BTC
Here's a cool story I read about a mayor in Missouri who has pledged to give every household in town a thousand dollars worth of Bitcoin. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/bitcoin-mayor-free-crypto-b1929848.html
And the name of the town? "Cool Valley". Seems like an appropriate name for a very forward thinking town.
Between El Salvador making BTC legal tender and then going an mining it with renewable energy to towns and cities experimenting with giving their citizens BTC, it is fantastic to see the adoption of crypto growing.
It will be interesting to see what the residents of Cool Valley do with their new bitcoins. Will they spend it, will they save it or will they lose it? How many will explore further and get into alt coins?
I feel like these are the sort of stories that need to be publicized more instead of the China FUD that always rolls around, multiple times per year.
One analysis of the situation in China is that they ban anything they cannot control, so for crypto to get banned, that's a badge of honor right there.
