It Was Almost The Perfect Quest

5 out of 6. Not too bad a day for today's quest. I was lucky enough to get the Water Splinter today which I thankfully have some half decent cards for.

Oshannus gets all the plaudits but I believe the Venari Wavemith is a must have in your Water deck. The extra shield it provides helps your magic monsters which usually don't have any shield to last an additional round than they otherwise would have.

Take this battle for example:

Ordinarily, the Sandworm would have taken out my back line pretty quickly but with the additional 2 shield, they each last an additional round than they otherwise would have. This makes a huge difference.

And of course, if you give Oshannus an additional 2 shield, he's going to be that much more deadly by sticking around the battlefield longer.

At $5.22, I think the wavesmith's a steal but you could also wait to get it in the rewards. It is after all only a rare, so you should be able to grab one eventually.

The rewards were so-so. Not too bad as I want to upgrade my conjurer soon:
