There is no advantage whatsoever for any young adult, male or female, to attend college in a state where abortion is practically illegal. For the girls, the reasons are obvious. For the guys, this is also obviously the case although they do not have the disadvantage of being able to become pregnant as a result of being raped.

Now, some very religious parents might prefer to pay for their children's college in some of these states. But the young people themselves, it's a clear negative.

I find this is unlikely to have any impact, but the fear mongers have to say it.

It's disgusting if you plan your future life around where you can get an abortion, and I am pro life.

This is just the spread of propaganda.

You are welcome to read the article.

The erosion of the right to privacy which is what underpinned Roe vs. Wade is part of the broad front campaign to turn back the clock and roll back many other rights by the power hungry Christian fascist right. This is very clear trend throughout the entire Western world and not just the USA while in the USA this is worse than in most other Western countries.

The right to abortion is an important issue in and of itself but this is about much more.

The USA has a long dark history of maltreatment of people other than those of northern European ancestry. This, by the way, is one of those things certain people in certain states are making moves to whitewash.

See: https://www.texastribune.org/2022/06/30/texas-slavery-involuntary-relocation/

There are a lot of white people in the US who are feeling uncomfortable because of the the prospect of becoming just another minority among others, which will be a demographic reality in just a few decades.

Add growing income and wealth inequality to the mix among other things and you get a recipe for strong polarization in politics.

The Jan 6 2021 storming of the Capitol was a culmination of something that has been brewing for quite some time. It is completely clear that the greatest threat to American democracy and rule of law is the radical right in our time.

lol, I did read the article.. It was complete hearsay with zero evidence or facts. A couple of "counselors" said... blah blah blah.

As for the rest of the weird things you just said that have nothing to do with the article or me..

Sounds like you've been watching too much news. I turned it off.

Take care!

I'm pro-choice.

I'm also pro people. Most of them are good.

Politicians want us to fight. I'm not interested.

Have a great day.

All one has to do is to watch who one votes for. Keep the radicals and populists out of office. Vote for politicians whose platforms include programs that will stabilize society in the long run.

The middle class has been proportionally shrinking since the 1980s. If that process is allowed to go to far, things will get ugly. There is nothing particularly new about that. It has been observed in other countries.
