Comment Rewarder Worked Great (25% Of This Posts Rewards Are Yours)
About a week ago I did a little digging into Comment Rewarder (A new initiative created by Acidyo and hivetrending : place an @ in front of the names to visit their Hive Blog profile; I left the @ out so I don't ping them). What I found out about this new initiative was that it allows Authors of posts created on the Hive Blockchain to share rewards with those who commented on said content. This is accomplished by the creator of content (The Author) setting @commentrewarder to the beneficiary list and choose 3% or more. The author determines who earns these extra rewards through their own vote. Meaning if the author doesn't vote your comment, you will earn 0% of the extra rewards being handed out by Comment Rewarder on behalf of the author. Any comments voted on after three days will not qualify for the extra rewards. Comments that have higher percentage votes will earn more of the extra rewards when compared to comments rewarded with a lower percentage vote. Ex. If the Author of a Comment Rewarder activated post votes Hiven A with a 1% vote and Hiven B with a 2% vote; Hiven B will earn double the rewards when compared to Hiven A share. Comments Downvoted by the author earn 0%.

As already mentioned I tested this out about a week ago and everything went great. I voted some comments after the three day mark. Adjusted some votes after the three day mark and all went smoothly. All my initial votes leading up to the cutoff of three days were rewarded as they should be and none of the comments I voted on after the three day mark were rewarded, as it should be. Comment Rewarder handed out all the rewards which is amazing. If one were to do this manually it would take time to calculate and then manually send. An effort too great and time consuming for me and likely for most others as well. Comment Rewarder does all the hard work for us. I was itching to use this service again but I wanted to wait until post payout of my first Comment Rewarder post to finish first. The transfers done by Comment Rewarder on my behalf can be seen screenshot-ed below. Visit my initial post by clicking anywhere on this highlighted link. If you are interested in reading the introduction post for the Comment Rewarder initiative click the following highlighted link: Introducing Comment Rewarder - A new service to reward comments. As you likely guessed; I have activated Comment Rewarder on this post at the rate of 25%.

How to earn a vote from me for a share of the 25%
- Leave a comment with substance
- MEME's & Gifs Count
- Gaming, Food comments count
- Detail your own blog if you want
- The topic of choice is for you to decide
- That's it
- Really, that's it
- Yes, its just that easy
I use to run a weekly post some years back called Followers Appreciation Post where followers advertised their blog and interacted with others in the post that did the same. In honor of that posts train of thought I'll be handing out double the vote percentage to those who are following me and follow the simple rule of leaving a comment with substance. Following is not a requirement I'm just giving a little extra juice to those that do to show my appreciation. Non followers who leave exceptionally good comments will also get the higher vote. The vote percentage I will be given out will be 1% and 2%. This is because my voting power is zapped. Currently I'm sitting at below 60%. And as pointed out by one of the founders of Comment Rewarder: using this initiative is a great way to hand out rewards to those interacting with our content even when our vote power doesn't push past the dust threshold. Using the CR service while replenish voting power seems like a good option as well. Thanks for reading; see you in the comment section :)

CR Founder Quote:
The $0.02 threshold acidyo is speaking on referrers to the fact that content that is voted on but don't reach a payout of at least $0.02 doesn't get paid out. This is commonly referred to as Dust.

Hive-Engine Tokens excluded from giveaway
Comment Rewarder was a necessary initiative for hive. Comments are as important as posts. Comment Rewarder taking over everything on its own also relieves a huge workload. Thanks to everyone who uses and supports Comment Rewarder.
Commenting is an essential part of the networking that is needed to be successful on Hive.
Interaction is one of the important elements to grow on Hive along with consistency in publishing and propensity for staking, and that is why comment rewarder is absolutely a nice idea because it incentivizes hivers to interact through comments and comments in turn incentivize authors to publish articles.
Comment rewarder is a win-win model

It's a great way to get people engaged in the comments and more motivated.
Absolutely, a little extra nudge to interact is a positive thing.
So we vote and get rewarded for it : )

It's just that easy.
I used to enjoy Stern at the beginning then Hive, when it was very rewarding and interesting to participate in some active contests (Utopian for example). We used to create things that were useful to the community (or at least tried to). After the split (which I always have been in favor of due to the monopoly that was arising there) things did not evolve with the same sentiments and adrenaline on Hive. I think things have gone in another direction (does not mean worst or bad) but I did not feel anymore this excitement about posting stuff and doing things like before. I became very passive and just checking on from time to time to see how things are evolving.
Maybe there are new things around that could bring me back to posting on the platform but I would need someone to guide me back and point to me to some new exciting ways to be helpful in the community.
Maybe this comment has nothing to do with the post itself but for some reason I felt like I had to write it here.
Very powerful insight into the split and how the outcome has impacted you and likely others. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here, much appreciated. I'll be happy to help you with any question you might have that might give you that desire to post again. I took a peek at your blog and seen this is your first comment/post in three years. There's many different communities here on HIVE now and multiple front-ends to post from. I'm sure we can find one that might interest you. For example I see your profile header has crafts as the main focus. There is DIY hive community that you might like. Here is a link to explore it; https://hive.blog/trending/hive-130560. Browsing the community I can see they even have a Get Active contest going on. Might be a sign....... https://ecency.com/hive-130560/@hive-130560/special-get-active-initiative-hive-diy-n-24-christmas-decoration-ideas-ideas-de-decoracion-en-navidad
Thanks for answering so swiftly. I will have a look at what you suggested and for sure we may have a better talk about it.
Concerning the fundamentals "HP, voting, and so on" has anything considerably changed ? Either way, could you point out where I could read the current status of the whole ecosystem ?
I am technically stuck at 3 years ago so definitely something has changed/evolved.
And concerning from end: any recommendation ? I am using Ecency since its inception even though I tried others too.
Thanks again
I'm not sure when some of these happenings/changes were implemented, some you might already known about but just in case here is a basic run down.
Your Stats
Ecency is a great front-end to use. If that is the one you are comfortable with I would stick with that. Inleo is another that is great and was the first front-end to introduce short form content. Something that was once frowned upon. If posting a short message like; Good Morning, Inleo Threads is the place to do it.
We have an abundance of second lawyer tokens tradable on https://tribaldex.com/ They can be earned by posting directly from the front-end that issues them or by tagging the frontends tags. Ex. for for the front-end Inleo if you use the tag Inleo when creating content; regardless of what Hive front-end used you will earn the Leo Token along side Hive/ HBD. Most of these community tokens don't have much trade volume. The Leo token is leading in that regard.
The NFT craze hit and the Hive Blockchain has plenty of NFT's within the many games that have been created: Splinterlands, SoulKeep, CryptoShots, the upcoming game Holozing. I'm not sure if you are into gaming so I'll keep this part short unless you inquire for further information.
HP can be leased on Hive-Engine which is the DEX/CEX that powers TribalDex. There's different and some same offerings on each model. Each have all the tradable second layer hive tokens listed.
Inleo Threads link: https://inleo.io/threads/v2
Some other front-ends might have something similar to threads but Inleo is the one I'm familiar with and was first to do it. I'm sure I'm missing plenty of other things. Communities, I'm not sure when they were implemented. Seems like forever ago but just yesterday at the same time. They can be searched by clicking "Explore Communities" on Hive.Blog/ "Discover" on Ecency.
I think that commenting is undervalued on HIVE as many focus just on upvoting.
I agree, commenting is overlooked by many.
I love the fact that Comment Rewarder does what it is supposed to do, on time, every time. I tend to use it on posts that I expect to be a bit bigger in rewards to go around, and still fine tuning how best to use it.
Heads up: Hive has a second comment rewarding service as well! @topcomment is put together by @friendlymoose, and you can use it to nominate good comments anywhere you find them. I'm testing out this service at present, and if it stacks up with Comment Rewarder for accuracy, this could really enhance the game-changing on engagement!
I'm going to have to look into topcomment as it sounds like a great initiative.
Thanks for sharing the info.
remember dustsweeper? I used to use it. I don't know if it quit working or if I just need to send it some money to start it up again 🤔
I do and I just checked, its still working.
There's also dustbunny.
It's a really awesome touch by the creators of commentrewarder to let authors vote with lower %, to give more flexibility and to save voting mana.

A great added feature for sure.

Read a bit about this, and your bit about how the different upvote percentages determine what commenters end up getting makes a lot more sense of a point I was wondering about - after all a "real" comment has more value than just a "nice post."
I hope it works in the longer term, Hive could use some more real social engagement.
Agreed, its a great tool to utilize.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.
