Sate Ocu Iman - Famous Satay From Ocu's Tribe

Hello everyone, this time i want to share a food story about indonesian food that comes from Ocu’s tribe at Riau Province. As you know, Indonesia has various ethnic groups from Sabang to Merauke.

I currently live in Riau province in Pekanbaru city. Riau province has a few tribes, one of them is Ocu’s Tribe or Kampar Tribe, but Riau peoples often call it Ocu’s Tribe rather than Kampar Tribe.

Ocu’s tribe live around kampar territory of riau province, it takes 45-1 hour drive from Pekanbaru city.

Ocu Iman Satay is located at Jl. Raya Pekanbaru - Bangkinang No.Km. 28, Sungai Pinang, Kec. Tambang, Kabupaten Kampar, Riau 28462, or 20-30 mins drive from Pekanbaru City.

This place provides 2 kinds of satay, the first one is Chicken Satay, and the other one is Beef satay. The satay is not different from other kinds of satay, but the most visible difference is in the satay sauce.

Ocu’s Satay sauce is not thick like other satay that have thicker sauce than Ocu’s Satay. This time I ordered a few kinds of food.

To order the menu is easy enough, you just have to call the server and say anything you want to order.

The order will come fast, but sometimes the order will take time to deliver to your table depending on how many guests come. This place is so famous so sometimes it will be crowded, but don't worry, they have many tables.

But you have to know about the open hours because there are two shifts, the first one is from 6AM till 12PM, and the second one is from 3PM-10PM and they open every single day.

I love spicy food, especially spicy satay, so the satay will be more delicious if it's spicy. They will give you 1 plate of liquid chili, but feel free to ask for some more if you are still not enough with it. Don't worry, it's free.

It's not just free extra chili, but you can ask for more extra satay sauce for free, just call the server and ask for it.

Mix this bakwan and Kerupuk and you can enjoy the satay even more, the flavor is not destroyed, but it giving extra taste to the satay sauce

Not everyone loves to eat chicken feet, but if you do just make sure you don't miss this on your order.

The satay price is about 10K IDR, so cheap, for all the orders I made it just cost 40K IDR.
