[ESP/ENG] ¿Has estado en este increíble lugar? Laguna Brava - (PARTE I) / Have you been to this incredible place? Brava Lake - (PART I)
Welcome to my blog dear Hivers, I hope you are doing great, I wish you always find lots of inspiration and creativity to create quality content on this amazing platform.
Today you will accompany me to a magical place, where my sister @keritroberts and I camped for one night, this place is located northwest of Táchira State, very close to the border with the State of Merida - Venezuela, where there is a lake called "Laguna La Brava".
In the map you can see the route we took to get to the lake. We left from the city of San Cristobal towards our destination, approximately at 8am, the distance between this city and the lake is 74km or 46Miles. On the way we visited some tourist sites of which I have told you about in previous posts.
Here is a satellite view of the lake and the area where we camped, its location coordinates Latitude: 8.3053° or 8° 18' 19" north, Longitude: -71.8393° or 71° 50' 22" west, Altitude 2,399 meters (7,871 feet), it has a depth of approximately 26 meters at its lowest point.
We started the hike when there was still sunlight, but we were already close to sunset, everything was covered with fog and the temperature had already dropped a few degrees, but nothing could stop us because our goal was very close.
In the photo above, my sister and I are resting a bit from the hike, a few minutes after we had left the comfort of the transportation unit, and in the photo below I wanted to portray the moon between the road and the cloudy landscape.
After a walk of approximately 30 minutes, we arrived at the area where we would camp, by that time it was completely dark, we set up the tent with the help of flashlights, my sister and other travelers and went inside to have dinner.
After dinner we left the tent to share a little with the other people who attended the trip, I took a picture of how the tent looked illuminated from inside and then we went down near the shore of the lake to light a fire to warm up a little since the temperature in the place was quite low compared to what we are used to.
After insisting for a long time to light the campfire, we had a nice time with jokes, anecdotes and stories and finally we went to our tents to sleep and rest.
