Saludos estimada comundad, en esta oportunidad quiero hablarles de la película Encanto dirigida por Byron Howard y Jared Bush, la cual cuenta con un maravilloso despliegue musical de la mano de Lin-Manuel Miranda. Brevemente les comento que cuenta con una trama y personajes de dimensiones bastante complejas, así que no se trata sólo de un film para el entretenimiento sino que también ofrece grandes lecciones de vida, de manera que si metemos bien la lupa en los detalles bien podemos sacarle provecho.

Greetings dear community, this time I want to talk to you about the movie Encanto directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, which has a wonderful musical display by Lin-Manuel Miranda. I will briefly tell you that it has a plot and characters of quite complex dimensions, so it is not only a film for entertainment but also offers great life lessons, so that if we put the magnifying glass well into the details we can well get advantage.

La historia gira en torno a la historia de una familia colombiana, cuya matriarca posee un fuerte carácter y poderosas cualidades que le han permitido impulsar el progreso de su familia y su pueblo desde la muerte de su muy amado esposo, quien la dejó a cargo de sus tres pequeños hijos. La pérdida de su marido, Alma recibe un poderoso milagro, un encanto que le otorga desde entonces poderosos dones a cada miembro de la familia Madrigal excepto a su nieta Mirabel.

The story revolves around the story of a Colombian family, whose matriarch has a strong character and powerful qualities that have allowed her to promote the progress of her family and her people since the death of her beloved husband, who left her in charge of their three little children. The loss of her husband, Alma receives a powerful miracle, a charm that has since granted powerful gifts to every member of the Madrigal family except her granddaughter Mirabel.

Mirabel tendrá que descubrir por qué no recibió un don especial, pero al estar la magia en riesgo será la encargada por cuenta propia de salvarla, para lo cual debe emprender un camino de aventuras y aprendizajes guiada por su misterioso tío Bruno y una profecía que predice un futuro incierto para los Madrigal. A medida que avanza en su misión tendrá que enfrentar grandes desafíos que no sólo pondrán a prueba su valor sino también la fortaleza de los vínculos en su amada familia.

Mirabel will have to discover why she did not receive a special gift, but since magic is at risk, she will be in charge of saving it on her own, for which she must embark on a path of adventures and learning guided by her mysterious uncle Bruno and a prophecy that predicts an uncertain future for the Madrigals. As she progresses on her mission she will have to face great challenges that will test not only her courage but also the strength of the bonds in her beloved family.

Como señalé anteriormente, la película Encanto tiene gran complejidad, sin embargo, hay situaciones aleccionadoras que vale la pena señalar y que seguramente nos enseñarán a valorar el Don más importante en la vida de todo ser humano: El Don de Familia. Uno de los aspectos más resaltante de film tiene que ver precisamente con la adquisición de los dones, en esto, nos damos cuenta de que cada persona los reconoce y los usa sólo cuando los necesita.

As I pointed out earlier, the movie Encanto has great complexity, however, there are sobering situations that are worth pointing out and that will surely teach us to value the most important Gift in the life of every human being: The Gift of Family. One of the most outstanding aspects of the film has to do precisely with the acquisition of gifts, in this, we realize that each person recognizes them and uses them only when they need them.

Igualmente, nos permite entender que los dones o cualidades no tienen que ser iguales a los de otros y esto es porque cada ser humano tiene su propio camino y misión de vida. Algunos dones son visibles y otros quizás pasen desapercibidos hasta el momento en que realmente se necesiten, lo importante es entender que todos somos especiales y todos sin excepción nacemos proveídos con los dones y cualidades que necesitamos en nuestra vida.

Likewise, it allows us to understand that the gifts or qualities do not have to be the same as those of others and this is because each human being has their own path and mission in life. Some gifts are visible and others may go unnoticed until they are really needed, the important thing is to understand that we are all special and all without exception are born provided with the gifts and qualities that we need in our lives.

Por otro lado, también nos enseña o recuerda que no vivimos para cumplir con las expectativas de otros, hacerlo puede llevarnos a extremos de ansiedad por tratar de mantener una realidad que no nos hace feliz. Cada miembro de una familia tiene su propia visión de mundo y sus propios proyectos y forma de ser y actuar que no deben de ninguna forma ser aplastados por la voluntad de otros.

On the other hand, it also teaches or reminds us that we do not live to meet the expectations of others, doing so can lead us to extremes of anxiety for trying to maintain a reality that does not make us happy. Each member of a family has their own vision of the world and their own projects and way of being and acting that should not in any way be crushed by the will of others.

Los vínculos familiares se fortalecen cuando somos capaces de ser nosotros mismos, sin máscaras ni disimulo. A veces quien conduce a una familia cree tener la fórmula correcta para enrumbar los destinos de los miembros que la conforman cuando cada uno tiene algo que decir y aportar. El film nos invita a ser más empáticos y comprensivos con las necesidades del otro, sin imponer nuestros criterios que si bien puede que no sean malos o incorrectos, no obstante, no encajan en la vida de otros.

Family ties are strengthened when we are able to be ourselves, without masks or dissimulation. Sometimes who leads a family believes they have the right formula to direct the destinies of the members that make it up when each one has something to say and contribute. The film invites us to be more empathetic and understanding with the needs of the other, without imposing our criteria that, although they may not be bad or incorrect, nevertheless, do not fit into the lives of others.

La película también nos motiva a autovalorarnos y a confiar en nuestras capacidades sin mirar para los lados, esto porque no tenemos por que ambicionar lo que otros pueden hacer. A veces nos distraemos tanto en el valor de los demás que nos olvidamos de nuestra propia importancia.

The film also motivates us to value ourselves and trust in our abilities without looking sideways, because we don't have to aspire to what others can do. Sometimes we get so distracted by the value of others that we forget our own importance.

Algo que me conmovió mucho fue apreciar como personajes como Alma y Luisa son capaces de ocultar la carga tan pesada que guardan en su corazón sólo por tratar de cumplir con expectativas externas o por visiones fuera de lugar. En ese sentido, nos invita a expresarnos y a compartir lo que sentimos, de manera que así las cargas se alivian y en el proceso la familia se fortalece.

Something that moved me a lot was seeing how characters like Alma and Luisa are able to hide the heavy load they keep in their hearts just by trying to meet external expectations or misplaced visions. In that sense, it invites us to express ourselves and share what we feel, so that the burdens are lightened and in the process the family is strengthened.

También fue muy hermoso ver las maravillosas cosas que ocurren cuando creemos que todo está perdido, pues no sólo es una familia levantándose de sus cenizas sino tambien la llegada de ayuda inesperada que nos recuerda lo interconectados que estamos con el mundo.

It was also very beautiful to see the wonderful things that happen when we believe that everything is lost, because it is not only a family rising from its ashes but also the arrival of unexpected help that reminds us how interconnected we are with the world.

Bruno es un personaje incomprendido, que guarda consigo algo más que una misteriosa profecía. La forma como evoluciona este personaje es una fuerte lección para todos los que alegremente juzgamos sin conocer todos los detalles que encierra una realidad.

Bruno is a misunderstood character, who keeps with him more than just a mysterious prophecy. The way this character evolves is a strong lesson for all of us who happily judge without knowing all the details that a reality contains.

Finalmente, Mirabel quien pensaba que no tenía nada especial más allá de su carisma y poderoso entusiamo terminó por descubrir y enseñarnos a todos que las apariencias si que nos engañan y que los máximos dones suelen a veces estar ocultos esperando emerger en personas aparentemente ordinarias.

Finally, Mirabel, who thought that she had nothing special beyond her charisma and powerful enthusiasm, ended up discovering and teaching us all that appearances do deceive us and that the greatest gifts are sometimes hidden, waiting to emerge in apparently ordinary people.

Esta hermosa producción es sin duda una de las mejores que he visto, en varios momentos nos mueve las fibras de los sentimientos sin poder evitarlo y más cuando nos sentimos identificados en situaciones cotidiana que muy bien se muestran en la película. Siendo venezolana, sentí un gran orgullo por un film animado de Disney que refleja de forma tan bonita y especial la cultura colombiana.

This beautiful production is without a doubt one of the best I have seen, at various times it moves the fibers of our feelings without being able to avoid it and even more so when we feel identified in everyday situations that are very well shown in the film. Being Venezuelan, I felt great pride for a Disney animated film that reflects Colombian culture in such a beautiful and special way.

Resalta de igual forma que muchos de los actores que hicieron la versión en inglés también hicieron el doblaje en español con hermoso acento colombiano. Fue emocionante escuchar a Carlos Vives interpretando con su alegría característica una de las producciones musicales centrales de la película, en general cada canción y cada letra nos pasea por diferentes emociones desde la alegría extrema hasta los momentos más emotivos que nos hacen romper en llanto.

It also stands out that many of the actors who did the English version also did the dubbing in Spanish with a beautiful Colombian accent. It was exciting to listen to Carlos Vives interpreting with his characteristic joy one of the central musical productions of the film, in general each song and each letter walks us through different emotions from extreme joy to the most emotional moments that make us break down in tears.

Lógicamente recomiendo mucho esta película, cada vez que puedo la veo con mis sobrinos de 4 años, ellos le dicen la película de la casita mágica y en cada oportunidad la disfruto como si fuera la primera vez no sólo por el increible guión sino también por el altibajo de emociones por las que nos pasea.

Logically I highly recommend this movie, every time I can I see it with my 4-year-old nephews, they call it the movie of the magic house and every time I enjoy it as if it were the first time not only because of the incredible script but also because of the ups and downs of emotions through which he walks us.

Si hemos perdido a un ser querido recientemente (quizás muchos por el Covid19) es inevitable sentir una abrazadora empatía por Alma y todas las luchas que tuvo que pasar tras la pérdida de su adorado Pedro, con ella ratificamos que nunca dejamos de amarlos y siempre vivirán como un sello de amor en nuestros corazones.

If we have recently lost a loved one (perhaps many due to Covid19) it is inevitable to feel an embracing empathy for Alma and all the struggles she had to go through after the loss of her beloved Pedro, with her we ratify that we never stop loving them and they will always live. like a seal of love in our hearts.
