El Pesebre o Nacimiento en mi casa

(Edited)

The Nativity Scene as we call it in the Venezuelan Andes is a representation of the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. In a previous post I talked about the forms of representation of this tradition and some appreciations about the use of mosses and bromeliads in the past and the damage to nature that this implied, as well as the current use of other materials reused for this purpose. But now I'm just going to tell you how I elaborated our nativity this year in a simple way.
First of all I have to say that I don't have much space in my apartment and this time I also had a canine visitor who, together with our black mongrel dog, could damage the representation I'm talking about if I put it close to the floor.

I then chose a piece of furniture in the living room to place the nativity with the main elements such as the family of Jesus, the shepherds with their sheep, the Angel, the Three Wise Men, a water carrier and some little houses. The Holy Family is inside a glass sphere, a gift we received on a previous Christmas. To make it colorful and make a path I used fine white and colored gravel that used to be used in an aquarium.

As the piece of furniture has two spaces, I placed some camels at the bottom to complete the decoration.

I wish a Merry Christmas to my friends and to all the hivers.
