Self Investment To Increase Self Worth
The greatest investment you can ever make in this world is to invest on yourself. I wish I knew this earlier before I trusted people with my money in the past. Okay I knew about investing on oneself when I was 6 years old but I forgot as I grew older. When I was 6 years old, I loved comic drawing, there is this boy in my class whose name is Oscar, he could draw comics perfectly, so I met him and had a deal with him. I told him I would provide all the necessary equipments needed to draw comic, if only he drew them for me. Oscar loved drawing so much that he thought the ideas was a great one. I saved some lunch money and got Oscar some drawing pen, pencils and sketch pad.
Unfortunately, Oscar drew on those sketch pads but never returned my sketch pad, he kept the sketch pad and drawing to himself. I was mad and fought with Oscar in class because he was not going according to our agreement. So I got angry and decided to learn how to draw comics myself. I became so good in drawing to the extent I was compared to Oscar as one of the best comic artist in our class. That was the period I knew the power of the mind, the power of will and the power of investing in yourself. I Had that skill till I was 14 years old and decided to drop it because I lost interest in drawing. But unfortunately as life goes on and people experience and encounter different challenges in life, we tend to forget these lessons as we grow older, due to distractions from other angles of life.
Now I am older I have seen just how this applies to our financial life, I remember when I gave someone over $5,000 to trade forex for me, this person lost the money in less than 2 month and there was nothing I could do. I decided to go learn how to trade forex myself, so I can recover my money back. While learning how to trade forex, I realised I had made a big mistake by not learning the basics of forex to understand the game before trusting someone else with my money. While leaning, mind you, I spent 2 years learning, I realised that forex is nothing but gamble. If anyone thinks otherwise, then I wish you good luck, so I practically gave someone my money to gamble, if I knew what I know now, I wouldn’t have given the person my money. If only I have invested on myself, I won’t have made half of the mistakes I made. Although the experience has taught me better now, as I am constantly in the space of trying to learn.
If you want something to be done well, do it yourself, ever since I spent time learning more about crypto currency investment and doing it myself, I have watched the value of my portfolio grow so much in number and value. Although the bear market is affecting the value currently, this has made me fearless because I dont depend on people but myself now. Because I have invested on myself and raised my self worth.

Giving money to someone to trade for you is a terrible idea. I have had numerous people asking me to trade for the... I say no every time, it never works out/period.

I learnt the hard way, now I say big No without thinking twice about it

Agree. They will also surely blame you when you lost the money. LOL.

I think you are too trusting and probably lazy. 😁 Sorry, but it's the impression I get from your story and it is speaking words on how you were raised. 😊
Anyways, before getting into something that you have to invest something that you worked for so hard (e.g. money), be sure to diligently do your research first.
Never, ever trade or invest into something you don't understand.
That's the lesson that I also learned the hard way.

Well, I wouldn’t put lazy, I will put naive and too adventurous. I was influenced by FOMO and the constant fear of being too late to something. But after my experience, I have learnt to be patient and take things one day at a time.
Experience is indeed a great (but not the best, at least in my opinion) teacher. It is just, sometimes, it requires a very huge fee.
