Paying for convenience is definitely a thing as you get older.

When I was younger I used to think that convenience is a myth, you can’t pay for it because it’s free. But what do you expect from a jobless six years old who got everything for free. Because his father always provided everything for him, so it was always weird to me when I hear that people pay for convenience. For instance, my older cousin who was 27 years old would rather rent a movie online than walk up to a movie store to get the movie. I felt that was another form of laziness.

I have an uncle who is an author, this means that he spent most of his time in the house with his computer constantly working. But he had someone that did almost everything for him, from the cooking, to the cleaning, to laundry, to the person that goes for errands. He could afford those things but I felt he was being too wasteful and spending too much to keep that lifestyle. How can you be having that kind of lifestyle, this is because I wasn’t used to this lifestyle and I was a kid.

Fast forward to today that I got my life revolved around crypto, most of my time is spent, writing an article for Hive, trading crypto, doing move to earn, searching for arbitrage trade opportunities, reading a lot of crypto blogs to gain information, play to earn and also doing more research in Airbnb ( a new business I am having interest in). This has had me thinking that 24 hours a day is not enough anymore, I feel more hours should be added to a day. Now I find myself ready to pay for convenience because, after doing all these I don’t have the time to do other things in my life. Things like laundry, cooking, cleaning and going for shopping.

While thinking about how I don’t have much time for this anymore, it dawned on me that I am about to be what I criticized when I was younger, my uncle who had someone do most of the things he needed to be done in the house. This also means that I am becoming an adult and getting older, this also shows how people are going to utilize the metaverse. Because it will create great amount of convenience for most adults, for instance, you don’t have to do physical meetings anymore or attend physical seminars, you can do that through the metaverse. You don’t have to go to physical stores to buy clothes or test your clothes, knowing your right size and using the metaverse, you can go for shopping at ease. I watched a TikTok video of a person who wanted to buy a Porsche, he sat at home and evaluated the car through his computer, from the exterior, to the interior to the rims to their colors. All because it was more convenient and easier to do that from home rather than going to the physical shop.

This is something crypto has given us on a platter, we can transfer money at ease, without standing on queues for long hours. Crypto gives one of the best form of convenience in the world and it’s for free. As a matter of fact, it pays you, remember when you have to pay to play games, now you can get paid for playing games.
