Desires & Sacrifices : How Much Are You Willing To Sacrifice For What You Want?
Desires and sacrifices are like two contradicting words, in order for sacrifice to be recognized as sacrifice, you need to give up what you desire the most. If you give up what you don’t desire, it would less likely be regarded as a sacrifice. We desire a lot of things, so to achieve some certain things we needs to sacrifice some desires. This is something I learnt at a tender age when I was in school. For instance if you desire to get good grades, you need to sacrifice comfort. What are the comforts you need to sacrifice? Well you need to sacrifice your play time, when others are playing, you need to be reading your books, this means that you need to spend more time reading than playing.

Every kid desire play time, that is more of a time for pleasure for them. But as an adult what do you desire? More than 50% of all adults desire financial freedom and abundance, because as an adult you need to pay your bills, no one will do that for you. So to achieve that, you need to sacrifice lots of other desires. Everyone loves a good sleep, everyone loves vacation, everyone loves expensive lifestyle and would love to live the lifestyle they desire. Some need money to achieve that while some need a specific career to achieve that but to do that, you need to sacrifice one desire or the other.
Most people that got into crypto, did so because they were desiring financial freedom. They want to be financially free, and how can they achieve that, by investing or working in the crypto space. To invest, you need to work hard to make money to invest, working hard also means that you have to sacrifice your time and dedicate it to that activity that will help you achieve your dream.
For a long time I have always wanted a MacBook Air laptop, which is a very expensive laptop because it cost $1,000 but I also need to achieve financial freedom which doesn’t come cheap. For a long time I have been investing to achieve this financial freedom, haven’t gotten there yet, but I have deprived myself of a lot things, I tried saving money to buy this laptop but sacrificed it for my financial freedom goal by investing on a token, unfortunately, the token tanked. I found myself saving all over again, to buy this MacBook.
I desire this MacBook, but I desire financial freedom more, so I rather sacrifice the MacBook desire to achieve the financial freedom desire which can help me get as much MacBook as I want in the future. That is what I have learnt about desires and sacrifices, you need to sacrifice other desires to achieve the bigger desires which can help you get other minor desires.
