Me pareció un ejercicio muy interesante de introspección y me decidí a participar. A continuación comparto mi visión sobre el tema, deseando que cada uno consiga su éxito.

¿Cuál es tu versión ideal del éxito?

Definir el éxito no resulta sencillo, como muchas otras cuestiones importantes de la vida. El éxito depende de quién eres y de dónde te encuentras en un momento determinado. Para algunos el éxito puede ser un ingreso de seis cifras, para otros terminar la semana o el día con algo de comida en el refrigerador.

En lo personal, en esta etapa de mi vida, me gusta pensar que el éxito no es un punto al que se llega, no es un lugar en el cual te plantas y echas raíces. El éxito para mí es transitar la vida con la posibilidad de perseguir aquello que tanto anhelas. Quizás nunca lo alcance, tal vez nunca esté ni cerca de lograrlo. Pero despertar cada día, sabiendo que puedo hacer algo para lograr ese empleo ideal, para establecer mi propio negocio, para graduarme de lo que siempre quise, para mantener a mi familia unida y estable, eso es ser exitoso.

Esas pequeñas metas podrán cambiar de un momento a otro, pero seguirán siendo mis metas y trabajar por ellas me hacen ser un triunfador.

Mantenerme enfocado, constante, perseverar, adaptarme, aprender, encontrar nuevas maneras de hacerlo mejor, todo con un objetivo claro, así defino el éxito para mí. Es lo que quiero y necesito hacer el resto de mi vida.

¿Qué aspecto tiene y cómo puedes conseguirlo?

El éxito es un guardián enorme que custodia una puerta muy pequeña. Una puerta tan pequeña que aún dejándola sin protección sería muy difícil de atravesar. De esta manera veo al éxito. No es nada amable. Es aterrador. Sé que tengo pocas posibilidades de derrotarlo. No puede ser una lucha cuerpo a cuerpo. No puedo confiar en la fuerza. Hace falta mucho más que eso para siquiera pensar en vencerlo.

A este guardián se le derrota con paciencia, pero teniendo siempre presente que el tiempo también está de su parte.

Hay que estudiarlo, conocer sus debilidades. Atacarlas una a una, casi que de forma imperceptible, que no lo sienta como un ataque.

Esa minúscula ofensiva es nuestro día a día, cada uno con sus pequeñas acciones. Son aislados peones que nos hacen ganar espacio y al mismo tiempo forman parte de una estrategia mucho mayor.

Pero huyendo de la analogía con el ajedrez, este es un combate en el cual necesitas apoyo. Un apoyo consciente. Sabes que cuentas con muchas personas que están en la misma batalla que tú, algunos te siguen, varios van a tu lado y otros tantos te guían. En ocasiones sentirás que ya no tienes fuerzas, es allí cuando solo debes dejarte llevar por el impulso de esos que creen en ti.

Del lado del guardián existe una cantidad similar de personas. Por diferentes razones ninguno logró atravesar la puerta. Ahora no quieren que tú tampoco lo hagas. No son el enemigo, pero obstaculizan nuestro paso. Continuar adelante y esperar que cada uno note lo que es posible alcanzar, es lo mejor que podemos hacer.

Esta es mi visión del éxito, así me gusta delinearlo y enfrentarlo. Quizá se parezca a la forma de verlo de muchos y difiera de manera considerable como lo ven otros. Pero el éxito, al igual que la realidad, existe uno por persona.

What is your ideal version of success?

Defining success is not easy, like many other important issues in life. Success depends on who you are and where you are at any given moment. For some, success may be a six-figure income, for others it may be ending the week or the day with some food in the fridge.

Personally, at this stage of my life, I like to think that success is not a point you get to, it is not a place where you plant yourself and put down roots. Success for me is going through life with the possibility of pursuing what you long for. You may never reach it, you may never come close to achieving it. But waking up every day, knowing that I can do something to get that dream job, to establish my own business, to graduate from what I've always wanted, to keep my family together and stable, that's being successful.

Those small goals may change from one moment to the next, but they will remain my goals and working towards them makes me an achiever.

Staying focused, staying consistent, persevering, adapting, learning, finding new ways to do better, all with a clear objective, that's how I define success for me. It's what I want and need to do for the rest of my life.

Success is a huge gatekeeper guarding a very small door. A door so small that even if left unguarded it would be very difficult to get through. This is how I see success. It is not kind at all. It is terrifying. I know I have little chance of defeating it. It can't be a hand-to-hand fight. I can't rely on strength. It takes much more than that to even think of defeating him.

This guardian can be defeated with patience, but always bearing in mind that time is also on his side.

It is necessary to study it, to know its weaknesses. Attack them one by one, almost imperceptibly, so that he does not feel it as an attack.

That minuscule offensive is our day by day, each one with its small actions. They are isolated pawns that make us gain space and at the same time are part of a much larger strategy.

But fleeing from the analogy with chess, this is a combat in which you need support. A conscious support. You know that you have many people who are in the same battle as you, some follow you, several go by your side and many others guide you. At times you will feel that you no longer have the strength, that is when you should only let yourself be carried by the impulse of those who believe in you.

They are not the enemy, but they stand in our way. Moving forward and hoping that everyone notices what is possible to achieve is the best we can do.

This is my vision of success, this is how I like to outline it and deal with it. It may resemble the way many see it and differ considerably from the way others see it. But success, like reality, exists one person at a time.
