We found Laurentius, but what's next?

Then I came out and found a guard wearing a helmet was close to us so we had to wait for him to go around.

We were still outside when the nightfall was not far to start and there were the enemy guards all around this place so we had to keep us hiding and kept moving forward towards the farm of Laurentius.

This place was full of those guards and it looked like they were prepared for the rats as some of them were holding torches when some of them were trying to block holes in the ground and there were flames all around the place. It was getting dark soon as well as it looked like.

Suddenly I noticed a hole of the rats that they probably use to come out at night and the guards kept a torch right beside it which was a great idea. We left that place and it looked like we were close to the windmill farm.

The kid fell sick suddenly and was saying he was unable to walk or run anymore so the elder sister took him on her shoulder and I had to walk as Amicia taking the weight of the little brother now which made me slower.

Slowly, we reached close to the farm and we noticed a lake of blood there, we were still unsure about the source of the blood and then we noticed a lot of corpses of domestic animals. That corpses looks like cows but later I found out, they're pigs.

Suddenly, the rats broke free and came out of the underground and we had to run towards a torch to save ourself. Now we had to get to the farm through these zombie rats and I don't understand why Amicia couldn't just take that torch with her.

Tons of rats blocked our way forward after a bit and it was impossible for us to get to the farm in that way.

Suddenly I noticed the dead pigs were stuck on a fence and using my sling, I broke that fence and the dead pigs fell on the rats and smashed them all which made us a way to go towards the flame forward.

There was a stack of sticks and I took one out of there and I made fire on it and I had to hurry to get to the next fire source and I even had to lit the fire in the source otherwise, we'd be done for.

I don't know what this chariot kinda thing is called that carries a big fire source with you but it was our only chance to get to the farm and when I was pushing it forward, the kid also gave a hand and it looked like a tough job for them to push this heavy thing towards the slope.

At last, we reached the farm safely and there were torch everywhere and the first thing Hugo noticed was the pig that was alive.

And my focus fell on this living horse. I went close to the horse and Amicia started adorning it as if its her own. I wish I could ride this horse.

Then we went inside this horse stable to look if there's anything for us and we found that skeletons of a horse and some bloodstains.

Apart from the horse stable, there was another building where we were hearing voices of peoples after we got inside and before reaching them, I tried to explore around a little to get valuable things that can be used to upgrade my gears later.

And at last, we found Laurentius. That's the old man on the bed who was on the deathbed and there was this kid elder than Hugo who was taking care of the doctor and he is Lucas. Laurentius was surprised seeing them here so Amicia told him that the inquisition came and they had nothing to do but come here.

Then Laurentius said that they came for Hugo. He also added that an ancient evil course through their family's veins that Laurentius and Beatrice attempted to slow down but ever since the great break, the process has quickened. Then Laurentius asked Amicia to continue her mother's work to protect her brother.

Amicia asking how she'd do it as her parents died trying it and that's when the little kid was holding his sisters hand but Amicia shouted and asked him to leave her alone which spooked the kid and he stopped being around Amicia now as the little heart almost broke.
