A Great Loss.

Melie said a whole battalion is coming our way and suggested us to get out of there and then Lucas suggested us to take the stairs from a house that has an exit on the other side.

We lost Arthur in the meantime but that didn't seem like so heartbroken cause he was not so attached with anyone in the team. But we lost Rodric this time which looked like a great loss to especially Lucas as Rodric was good with kids and they became so close. Trying to get to Vitalis, we lost Rodric.

Rodric always has been a great help since he joined our team. You can see he was standing like our shield in front of us in the picture above. In fact, he's always been a shield for the siblings.

As Lucas suggested us to take the stairs from a house, Rodric started pushing the door of that house but it looked too strong for the macho man. In the meantime, there came some inquisition guards that together Amicia and Hugo take care of when Rodric kept trying to break the door down.

Rodric opened the door but the whole place was burning inside which scared Hugo off. The kid was thinking they'll be burnt alive and Amicia said nothing will happen. When Amicia asked Rodric if he's with them, Rodric replied, "To hell and back".

I try not to get too emotionally attached with these things but I'm feeling sad for Rodric now that I'm writing these. He became weak for the flame gas but still he kept pushing forward for us.

There was a guard on the other side whom Rodric took down as soon as I asked him to.

Then we found some inquisition guards were torturing some hostages by a cart. I took out all three guards using my sling and stones and I saved the hostages from them who ran away right after that.

Then we noticed there were archers waiting to shoot on sight and they were guarding the route that we had to take next. So I started looking for alternatives.

When we were looking for alternative ways to get through, I didn't think we'd get to Rodric's father's forge where he grew up and the whole place was take over by the rats that broke Rodric's heart. We couldn't do anything about it but trying to calm him down.

We came back and decided to use the cart as our cover so Amicia suggested she'd push it with the help of Rodric but Rodric started pushing it alone asking Amicia and Hugo to take cover when he'll push it.

There came a lot of inquisition guards on this part and I had to take care of them taking cover when Rodric kept pushing and the archers kept shooting arrows.

We reached the gate after a lot of tries as we kept losing against those guards and then I noticed Rodric was already shot by some arrows but dude was still pushing the cart to save us. He was dying but he was still saying he's better and he's right behind us.

Then Rodric alone was pulling that big gate up for them to get to other side where Melie and Lucas were waiting for them. Amicia helped him with the gate first but after Hugo went to the other side, Rodric asked Amicia to take her turn.

Right when Amicia got to the other side, Rodric gave up and the gate fell as he couldn't hold it off anymore. Rodric was saying sorry at his last time and he died on Hugo's hand.

It was a heart touching moment when Amicia was taking Hugo away but the kid was not leaving Rodric's hand. I'm feeling the sadness once again now. This is the effect of being a writer that I have to face the sadness or happiness again when I write about them. May his soul rest in peace.
