RE: The Balcony Garden Has Begun!

For now I'm just growing chilies and spinach and a variety of herbs (basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary), but I plan on starting bell peppers, pumpkin and tomatoes at the end of this month, and anything other interesting seedling I can find at the store.
Really need to get back into gardening. When we got to work from home for almost a year, it was a peak year for the plants.

I did chiles one year and got this HUGE bushy plant and like, 3 chiles. LOL I guess I need to learn to prune them for more fruit production. In my defense, it did start several flowers and I was trying to manually pollenate with a paintbrush, because the flowers didn't start until November, and it was inside by that point. So it may have also just been a matter of not enough sunlight. 😅
Yeah, I think not enough sunlight cause the flowers to fall, or maybe too little room for roots depending on the container and the chili variety. I had the same experience with cherry tomatoes. 6 big plants, no more than 30 harvested. Flowers kept falling because of the small containers. !LOL

Yeah it might be a little bit of both. I had them in a 5-gallon bucket, but the plant was like 4 feet tall!
