RE: Tips For Going Low Waste

Monitoring things in the fridge can be a full time job sometimes, and even then you miss some things that still go bad. xD

I definitely keep a lot of tech things around, sometimes even if they don't work 100%. And I make sure to use up a gadget like a laptop or phone until it gives out. Instead of replacing a perfectly working thing with the newest model.

Tip 7 is also a good one. About two years ago we got a full set of living room couches with coffee table from my godmother. She had the items for about 37 years and wanted something new in her own house. But all this time she had kept them in very good condition, so now they are in our living room.

I think @tanjakolader will really !LUV this post.

@rarej(3/3) gave you LUV. H-E tools | connect | <><

LUV in the dark? The confirmation-reply may soon be turned off. This would be to conserve and replenish Resource Credits. Even while operating in the dark, your LUV command will still go through as usual. You can always monitor LUV in your wallet, at explorer A or at explorer B, or best, in real time at the luv-log channel on Discord.

Yup - I once got ACTUALLY LAUGHED AT by the Apple rep on the phone because I had an iMac and didn't upgrade it for over 7 years, and was looking to upgrade it then. He laughed at me and told me I'd "missed the boat."
Jokes on him, because SANS UPGRADE that iMac still worked until it was over 12 years old. I used it to re-type my novel into Word (after writing it on a manual typewriter), make the cover for the paperback, and everything.
I never bought another Apple product again, though. Because I can't afford to upgrade once a year when they tweak something and give it a new cat name and then if you don't you're left behind.

That's exactly how they get you, with the new cat names! xD
My colleagues made fun of my 6 year old phone at work, but it's this mindset that now allow me to comfortably quit my job while I explore future opportunities.

I did buy a new phone at the end of last year though. And the amount of new features that I made an acquaintance were quite exciting. You don't get that with minimal yearly upgrades.

Do you still have the typewriter?

Hahahaa if @phoenixwren only knows what we're trying to keep, as opposed to discard. Sometimes @rarej calls me a "hoarder", which isn't true 😅.

Yes, I have a hard time throwing or giving certain items - like clothes for example - away, but once I start the process it gets easier. But I almost always try to upcycle items.

I call myself "the reformed hoarder," so I understand! It took a loooooooooooong time to get to where I am now!
