Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology used to be for the techiest among the techies. But those days are behind us. From one of Hive's newest "average" members, this rings true! There is just enough familiarity with all of the frontend apps that is easy enough to get started, and the community here is supremely helpful in teaching and assisting with learning the rest! I've been floored by the utility and community here on Hive, and have been singing its praises to anyone who will listen!
In a few months or a year time you will probably look back on these beginnings and be glad you were so bold to make the move.

people keep saying its hard to join, and to take ownership of your account(keys) me and you are proof positive that if you are motivated enough you can do this easily..
It wasn't even hard. Once I got my account keys, I put them in my password manager to keep them safe, and immediately got keychain set up. No problems at all. Hardest part is just learning the nuances, but I'm doing that too! It's ABSOLUTELY accessible.

Seriously.. the whole call for making user experience better, and making accounts easier to access, I feel, is just to appeal to the "normies"..
Anyone who is Seriously interested in solutions and alternatives to centralized services will happily take ownership of their account and figure out quickly how to do it.
