[ESP/ENG] UN POCO DE MI| A LITTLE OF ME

Hoy vengo a hablarles sobre mi trabajo, creo que es el único tema que nunca he tocado por aquí ya que tengo muy poco tiempo en él.

Desde que tengo edad para trabajar siempre había buscado sitios de medio tiempo y la mayoría de veces trabajaba como mesera o barista en lindos cafés y restaurantes ya que era estudiante y la economía en casa nunca ha sido muy buena, así podía costearme ciertas cosas que mis padres no podían.

Yo era una simple estudiante de universidad y solo el año pasado en 2021 me gradué con una licenciatura en administración, estudiar para mí fue bastante fácil a pesar de que no era la carrera que yo quería pero por cosas del destino terminé estudiando allí y era buena en algunas materias.

Mi graduación fue muy simple y cuando Salí de la universidad me sentía como en el aire, realmente no estaba preparada para ejercer un cargo en una empresa, sentía que era mucha responsabilidad y me comparaba con otros compañeros que ya tenían trabajo y sabían cómo administrar en oficinas, supermercados, locales e incluso habían varios que tenían su propia tienda, solo necesitaban el título y ya.
Por cosas de salud estuve gran parte del 2021 sin trabajo y no salía de mi casa para nada, mientras pasaba el tiempo sentía cada día la presión tanto social como económica de buscar un buen trabajo, así que me inscribí en una página de empleos y esperé para postularme esta vez y por primera vez en un trabajo acorde con mi título universitario.

Yo vivo en una zona donde todo esta cerca, tenemos centros comerciales, supermercados, clínicas, edificios administrativos, así que tenía pensado encontrar uno cerca de casa…
Un día me llegó un correo donde necesitaban a un asistente administrativo en una clínica cerca de mi casa así que me fui caminando y dejé todos mis papeles realmente con poca fe de ser elegida ya que no tenía experiencia alguna en administración, para mi gran sorpresa ese mismo día me llamaron para una entrevista así que me arreglé y fui a la entrevista totalmente nerviosa ya que no sabía que iba a decir.

Durante la entrevista me preguntaron si alguna vez había estado en una oficina administrativa y yo fui realmente honesta y dije que no tenía experiencia en mi carrera pero que quería aprender, la plática fue muy buena y al final me quedé con el puesto.

Ya hoy día tengo 10 meses trabajando y todos los días aprendo algo nuevo, aunque a veces me siento perdida y muchas veces no hay mucho papeleo por hacer trato de avanzar lo más que puedo, realmente es muy interesante trabajar no solo cerca de otros colegas sino con doctores y enfermeras, siempre llegan casos de pacientes muy particulares y se aprende bastante sobre el tema de la salud.

A pesar de todo la vida ha ido fluyendo con buenas energías y creo que de eso se trata todo, ir avanzando y sobre todo tener metas a futuro y no estancarse en algo que no te gusta.

Today I come to talk to you about my work, I think it is the only topic that I have never touched on here since I have very little time on it.

Since I was old enough to work I had always looked for part time jobs and most of the time I worked as a waitress or barista in nice cafes and restaurants since I was a student and the economy at home has never been very good, so I could afford certain things that my parents couldn't.

I was a simple university student and only last year in 2021 I graduated with a degree in administration, studying for me was quite easy even though it was not the career I wanted but by fate I ended up studying there and it was good in some subjects.

My graduation was very simple and when I left the university I felt like I was in the air, I really was not prepared to hold a position in a company, I felt that it was a lot of responsibility and I compared myself with other colleagues who already had a job and knew how to manage in offices, supermarkets, stores and there were even several that had their own store, they just needed the title and that's it.

For health reasons, I was out of work for a large part of 2021 and I did not leave my house at all, as time passed I felt every day the social and economic pressure to look for a good job, so I signed up on a job page and waited. to apply this time and for the first time in a job befitting my college degree.

I live in an area where everything is close, we have shopping malls, supermarkets, clinics, administrative buildings, so I was thinking of finding one close to home...

One day I received an email where they needed an administrative assistant in a clinic near my house so I walked and left all my papers with little faith that I would be chosen since I had no experience in administration, to my great surprise that The same day they called me for an interview so I got dressed and went to the interview totally nervous since I didn't know what I was going to say.

During the interview they asked me if I had ever been in an administrative office and I was really honest and said that I had no experience in my career but that I wanted to learn, the talk was very good and in the end I got the position.

Today I have been working for 10 months and every day I learn something new, although sometimes I feel lost and many times there is not much paperwork to do I try to advance as much as I can, it really is very interesting to work not only close to other colleagues but with doctors and nurses, cases of very particular patients always arrive and a lot is learned about the subject of health.

Despite everything, life has been flowing with good energies and I think that's what it's all about, moving forward and above all having goals for the future and not getting stuck in something you don't like.
