Vegetable Market #MarketFriday
Friday afternoon I saw a cassava garden next to the house, I immediately thought of cassava chips, I took my wife to go to the market in my hometown not far from my house to buy cassava, I came here to the vegetable market I saw that cassava was being sold, I bought 2kg.
I bought 2 kg of cassava at a price of 0.5 USD, after that when we went home we peeled the cassava skin and washed it, we made cassava chips.
This vegetable market is located in the city of Gedong, North Aceh, Indonesia.

The chips look delicious. Such a great price for the cassava. Here they are very expensive and the quality isn’t great. I wished we had better ones… as I rather like cooking with it.
Thanks for sharing your post with us 😁
Happy Friday 👋🏻
The price of cassava here is expensive. The cassava is good, already made chips, selling 1 kg of chips at a price of 3 USD. Thank you for commenting and giving voice support.
You are welcome 😁 enjoy your weekend!
I love cassava! Some people that I know don't know what it looks like, but, if you can't find it fresh, you can get it peeled, whole, and frozen. Other names for cassava are yuca, manioc, mandioca, casabe, and tapioca. While sometimes mistakenly spelled yucca, the yucca is a separate, ornamental plant and spelled totally different!
Did you make the Cassava chips? They are pretty delicious! This was a great one to do a post on! Thanks for being part of #MarketFriday!
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
