Cumpleaños de mi prima [ESP/ING]

Bendecido día para todos. Hoy les vengo a contar la experiencia en el cumpleaños de mi prima, a mí me encantan las fiestas sorpresas, me complace ver la mirada enternecida y la sonrisa flagrante de la persona cuando se percata de lo que sucede, me dispuse entonces a planificar con mi esposo y mi mamá para que ella no sospechara nada. Realizaríamos algo sencillo e íntimo, pero no sería para el día del nacimiento como tal (el miércoles). Me enteré de que mi tío le compró una torta, no pude asistir porque vivo lejos de su casa. Por lo menos me quedaba la satisfacción de que pasó un rato agradable con algunos familiares.

En nuestro caso dejamos nuestra planificación para el sábado dado los compromisos diarios y la distancia, así sería más fácil llegar al lugar porque iríamos en la tarde, eso pensábamos. La realidad, al transcurrir el tiempo, modificó los planes. No conseguíamos transporte en la zona, el efectivo estaba escaso y la torta tampoco estaba lista a la hora prevista, pese al estrés que generaron los percances decidimos continuar con lo que teníamos en la mente. Decidimos aventurarnos, ir a otra parada a buscar un autobús, comparamos algunos pasabocas y chucherías antes de salir. Íbamos como sardina en lata (jaja), sin embargo, logramos nuestro cometido: llegar al destino programado, aunque ya era de noche.

Today I come to tell you about my cousin's birthday experience, I love surprise parties, it pleases me to see the look of joy and the blatant smile of the person when they realize what is happening, so I set out to plan with my husband and my mom so that she would not suspect anything. We would do something simple and intimate, but it would not be for the day of the birth as such (Wednesday). I found out that my uncle bought her a cake, I couldn't attend because I live far from her house. At least I was left with the satisfaction that he had a nice time with some family members.

In our case we left our planning for Saturday given the daily commitments and the distance, so it would be easier to get to the place because we would go in the afternoon, we thought. The reality, as time went by, changed our plans. We could not get transportation in the area, cash was scarce and the cake was not ready at the scheduled time, despite the stress generated by the mishaps we decided to continue with what we had in mind. We decided to venture, go to another stop to look for a bus, we compared some snacks and snacks before leaving. We were going like sardines in a can (haha), however, we achieved our goal: to reach the scheduled destination, although it was already dark.

Caminamos hacia la casa de mi prima y no estaba, otro tropiezo del día, no me quedaba más que reír (jaja). En el plan perfecto que se figuraba en mi cabeza, esto tampoco estaba previsto. Tuve que llamarla por teléfono y decirle que nos veíamos en la vivienda de mi mamá, por lo menos no se encontraba tan lejos de la comunidad, ella se extrañó por la hora, así que se activaron sus alarmas de duda (jaja), empezó a analizar e imagino que ya venía con una idea de lo que estaba pasando. Lo peor de la situación fue que no me di cuenta cuando llegó porque recibí una llamada de un compañero de trabajo, me distraje puesto que me estaba comentando algunos asuntos importantes que según él no podían esperar para el lunes, no me quedó más que atenderlo un rato. Al colgar veo a mi prima sentada en la sala, la sorprendida fui yo, la emoción de gritar: "Sorpresa, Feliz Cumpleaños" con la torta en mano se había desvanecido (jaja), de igual forma, ella manifestó gratitud y estaba contenta por el gesto que tuvimos.

We walked to my cousin's house and she wasn't there, another stumble of the day, I had nothing left to do but laugh (haha). In the perfect plan that was figuring in my head, this was not foreseen either. I had to call her on the phone and tell her that I would meet her at my mom's house, at least she was not so far from the community, she was surprised by the time, so her doubt alarms went off (haha), she started to analyze and I guess she already had an idea of what was going on. The worst part of the situation was that I didn't realize when he arrived because I received a call from a co-worker, I got distracted since he was telling me about some important matters that according to him couldn't wait for Monday, I had no choice but to answer him for a while. When I hung up I saw my cousin sitting in the living room, the surprised one was me, the emotion of shouting: "Surprise, Happy Birthday" with the cake in hand had faded (haha), in the same way, she expressed gratitude and was happy for the gesture we had.

A pesar de los pequeños obstáculos, pasamos un rato ameno en una pequeña reunión familiar. Los invitados no querían fotos, así que mi madre, mi prima y yo sí estábamos de faranduleras (jaja). Estoy feliz de haberle dado ese detalle a mi prima, un regalo que fortalece la unión y el cariño sincero. Celebrar la vida es una tradición familiar que realizamos desde siempre, una forma de demostrarle a esa persona especial que la valoramos y que estamos agradecidos de que forme parte de nuestras vidas. Envejecer es parte inherente de la existencia y apreciamos las experiencias que nos dan los años. Fue un placer compartir con ustedes.

Despite the small obstacles, we had a great time at a small family reunion. The guests didn't want photos, so my mother, my cousin and I were in the spotlight (haha). I'm happy to have given this gift to my cousin, a gift that strengthens the union and sincere affection. Celebrating life is a family tradition that we have always done, a way to show that special person that we value them and that we are grateful that they are part of our lives. Growing older is an inherent part of existence and we cherish the experiences that the years give us. It was a pleasure to share with you.
