In this volume my name is written Rahmat Manjaya. This is wrong! :-(

Hi hive friends. My name is Rakhmat Margajaya. I am Indonesian, to be precise from South Bandung, Cangkuang District, Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia. My daily activities are columnist at Soreang Journal, and as a radio announcer. I have written over 40 story books for children. I love children, especially when I play with my four grandchildren.

But in this post I will not discuss about children. I just want to share my experience about my name.

I think the name is important. We know a lot of knowledge in this world because many things use names.

It's true, says William Shakespeare in a snippet of dialogue in his romantic novel Romeo and Julliet: What's in a Name?

But, again I say, the name is important. Therefore, I have to pay attention to names and spellings, especially human names. If I don't pay attention to the name, I can get a bad experience.

Long ago, in my country, a top singer reported a journalist to the police because the journalist had misspelled the singer's name.

But, during this time, bad things happened in my life.

My full name is Rakhmat Margajaya. This is the correct spelling. But since the first many who wrote my name wrong.

At school, my teacher wrote my name was Rachmat Marga Jaya. There is also a teacher who wrote Rahmat Margajaya.

My friends also generally misspell my name. They write with the spelling Rahmat, Rachmat, Rakmat, or Rahmat, not Rakhmat.

My American friend, Frank Hairgrove, writes my name with the spelling Rahmad.

The worst thing was Azka Press, which published my novelet in 2007. In the volume of the book entitled Tangis Bode at the Night Market, my name was written Rahmat Manjaya.

When there will be a regional head election, the officer writes my name is Raramat Margayaya.

This is very annoying and embarrassing. I hate this thing.

There was an error in my marriage book, my name was written Rachmat Margajaya. This is bad for the affairs of population administration. My children have trouble getting birth certificates.

Mistakes in the names on the marriage certificates messed up the making of children's birth certificates and other administrative matters.

I'm also having trouble getting a passport.

The name on my passport is correct. But the process is long, because my name in my marriage book is wrong.

The name spelling error in my country still occurs. My child's name is also often wrong when written by the teacher and his friends.

I hope my four grandchildren don't have a bad time writing names. I hope that in the generation of my grandchildren, people, especially the state apparatus, can act correctly in writing names. ***

That's right @mochanoz. In addition to prayer, the name is also the first inheritance from parents. Thank you for appreciating my post.
