Hi Hive friends.

My name is Rakhmat Margajaya, I'm from South Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. I'm a radio broadcaster and writer since 1987. In this community I want to tell you about my experience.

At this time in my country is the wedding season. I was invited by some friends and neighbors who married their children. There is also our brother who got married. His name is Ardi Kusumo. He married Rahayu Septiani Purnomo in Ciburuy Village, Padalarang District, West Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia, on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

I was present at their wedding as a spokesperson who handed over the prospective groom to the family of his future wife. Alhamdulillah, the wedding ceremony went smoothly. I'm happy about that. May Ardi and Rahayu be a harmonious husband and wife forever, they can build a happy family.

They got married in the rainy season. Many people say that the rain at the wedding is due to not using a psychic who is good at stopping the rain. Yes, we did not use the psychic.

For us, rain at weddings is a gift from God. Wouldn't the newlyweds be very happy in the rainy season?

But, there are things that make me sad in every wedding. Because, I see in every wedding, there are people who left their food. This is shocking and embarrassing to me. I hate this thing. Because of this, I am ashamed to be Indonesian. Why do they take food but they don't finish it? In fact, I think, the food and drink at the wedding was very delicious.

I was happy when I went to Punjab, North India, in 1999, for a mission from the Yoga Surah Sabdha Society that I was studying. For almost a month there I enjoyed Indian vegetarian food. At the diner, I saw the writing on the wall. The inscription says "Don't Waste Food".

In Indonesia, I also find writings like this when I go to a vegetarian canteen. There was an inscription that made me not dare to throw away a single grain of rice. Because, said the writing there, one grain of rice is a million farmers sweat.

Unfortunately, many people don't realize this. In weddings or parties, they take a lot of food to throw away. I hate this thing. There are still many people out there who are hungry, because they have no food.

Fortunately, at the wedding, I saw a cat eating food that someone threw under the chair.

I don't know, are there people who throw away food at weddings in your country?
