Don't Forbid Parents To Marry Again, This Is What Aa Gym Says

K.H. Abdullah Gymnastiar, who is familiarly called AA Gym, is a great scholar in Indonesia.
The founder of the Daaruut Tauhiid Islamic Boarding School did not justify a child who forbade his parents to remarry.
AA Gym said that pious children will heed the wishes of their parents as long as their wishes do not violate the rules of Allah SWT.
AA Gym's statement was revealed when answering a questionnaire in tausyiah through the MQ Pagi program on MQ FM Radio Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.
At that time, the questioner expressed his mother's desire to remarry at the age of 70.
With this question, AA Gym reminds that a child who is devoted to his parents will surely heed the will of his parents.
If the child prevents his parents from remarrying, it means that the child has committed a sin.
"Children's attitude against their parents is a sin, doraka," said AA Gym as quoted by me from MQ FM, Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Marriage in old age may be needed by those who see it necessary. This is not wrong, it can even be supported by children and families from both parties.
Aa Gym says, parental marriage, in old age, may not be biologically motivated. Most likely the trigger of the problem is the need for a life partner, a friend to pour out his heart to.
The reason is, children can not necessarily be used as a place to pour out their hearts for their parents.
As a child, we have an obligation to look after and pay attention to all the needs of our parents when he or she has separated from a partner.
Separation can occur due to divorce or death.
If the child cannot guarantee all the needs of his parents, then it is obligatory for the child to support his parents who want to remarry.
Allah does not forbid a mother or father who is abandoned by his spouse to remarry.
Therefore, said AA Gym, it is not appropriate for children to forbid their parents who live alone to remarry. ***
