The Pizzeria Mascot | [Eng|Spa]

Hello my dear Hivernauts and pet lovers!

Happy new year 2022 🥂🍾, I hope you are having a great time. First of all I wish you a beautiful and prosperous year, may the goals you have be fulfilled and be of success for your lives.

Having said that with all my love, I want to tell you about a sad story but with a happy ending. I know I've had a little bit abandoned this beautiful pet community, with everything in December it was a little difficult for me to stop by here, but here I am again 😁☺️.

As I told you before, I work in a pizzeria and, in front of the place there is a big lot that was ambushed, full of weeds and a lot of garbage (due to carelessness of the owners of said lot), it was totally abandoned. But exactly one month ago, they hired a group of workers to clean the whole place and to everyone's surprise this place was full of iguanas of all sizes 🦎. I don't know if it would have another name in another country, but here we call them iguanas, and there were too many of them.

Feliz año nuevo 2022 🥂🍾, espero la estén pasando muy bien. Primero que nada les deseo un hermoso y próspero año, que las metas que tengan se cumplan y sean de éxitos para sus vidas.

Dicho esto con todo mi amor, les quiero comentar sobre una historia triste pero con un final feliz. Sé que he tenido un poco abandonada esta hermosa comunidad de mascotas, con todo lo de diciembre se me hizo algo difícil pasar por aquí, pero aquí estoy de nuevo 😁☺️.

Como les he dicho anteriormente, trabajo en una pizzería y, frente al local hay un terreno grande que estaba emboscado, lleno de maleza y mucha basura (por descuido de los dueños de dicho terreno), estaba totalmente abandonado. Pero hace un mes exactamente, contrataron a un grupo de obreros para que limpiaran todo el lugar y para sorpresa de todos éste lugar estaba minado de muchas iguanas de todos los tamaños 🦎. No sé si tendrá otro nombre en otro país, pero acá le decimos iguanas, y vaya que eran demasiadas.

The day they cleaned the land I was not working, so it was a surprise for me to arrive at work and see the big land in front of me totally clean, the wife of the owner of the pizzeria where I work told me how many iguanas they took out of that land, they had more than 10 big bags full of iguanas. This saddened me because I love animals and that was their home, but it makes me sadder to know that they were not caught to release them in another place where they can stay alive, but that their destiny was the kitchen. That's right, here they eat them, because for many it is delicious and I respect that, but personally I am not a lover of hunting and even less of iguanas, I don't like them.

El día que limpiaron el terreno no me tocaba trabajar, así que fue toda una sorpresa para mí llegar a mi trabajo y ver el gran terreno de al frente totalmente limpio, la esposa del dueño de la pizzería donde trabajo me contó la cantidad de iguanas que sacaron de ese terreno, que tenían más de 10 sacos (fundas) grandes llenas de iguanas. Esto me entristeció porque yo amo los animales y ese era su hogar, más triste me pone el saber que no las agarraron para liberarlas en otro lugar donde puedan seguir con vida, sino que su destino era la cocina. Así es, acá se las comen, pues para muchos es riquisimo y lo respeto, pero en lo personal no soy amante de la caza y menos de iguanas, no me gustan.

It turns out that this issue was left there that day, so my view was adapting to the clean front lot, as it makes the street look wider and there is more visibility to the road we have diagonal to the store. Days passed after the cleaning of the front lot, it turns out that when we arrived from the second trip from Caracas which I mentioned earlier, where we had to take my brother-in-law to the Capital, back to my city, we arrived early in the afternoon and decided to go to the pizzeria with my boyfriend and I, since we were bringing a present to the owners who besides being our bosses are our friends, so we sat outside to drink coffee and talk about the trip, it was all quiet. At the front we have some tables with chairs for people who like to eat outdoors, and in one of the bushes grew a plant that is quite high.

Resulta que ese tema quedó ahí ese día, así que mi vista se fue adaptando al terreno de al frente limpio, ya que hace ver la calle más ancha y hay más visibilidad a la vía que tenemos diagonal al local. Pasaron los días después de esa limpieza del terreno de al frente, resulta que cuando llegamos del segundo viaje de Caracas el cual les mencioné anteriormente, donde nos tocó ir a llevar a mi cuñado a la Capital, de retorno a mi ciudad, llegamos temprano a eso de media tarde y decidimos pasar mi novio y yo por la pizzería, ya que le traíamos un presente a los dueños que además de ser nuestros jefes son nuestros amigos, así que nos sentamos afuera a tomar café y conversar del viaje, estaba todo tranquilo. Al frente tenemos unas mesas con sillas para las personas que les guste comer al aire libre, y pues en uno de los materos creció una planta que está bastante alta.

Well I sat next to the plant and my boyfriend to tease me was pulling a branch of the plant close to me, my hair got caught in it and when I went to remove the lock of the branch, I saw a beautiful young iguana on it. 😲😳

At first I was scared, just thinking it could have fallen on me hahaha, then I saw it and it was asleep on the branch, of course later it woke up but it was a survivor of the clearing of the land in front. Miraculously it managed to escape from the hands of those workers who were cleaning and as a refuge it chose the plant of the pizzeria, the owners had not seen it since it is the same color as the plant and we all liked it very much. That is how we baptized it as the mascot of the pizzeria, because when customers come at night and sit there at that table near the plant they do not see it because it is well camouflaged 😅🤭.

Pues yo me senté al lado de la planta y mi novio para fastidiarme me acercaba una rama de la planta, el cabello se me quedó enganchado y cuando me fui a quitar el mechón de la rama, ví una hermosa y joven iguana en ella. 😲😳

Al principio me asusté, solo de pensar que pudo haberme caído encima jajaja, luego la Vi y estaba dormida en la rama, claro después despertó pero era una sobreviviente de la limpieza del terreno de al frente. Milagrosamente logró escapar de las manos de aquellos obreros que limpiaban y como refúgio escogió la planta de la pizzería, los dueños no la habían visto ya que es del mismo color que la planta y a todos nos gustó mucho. Fue así como la bautizamos como la mascota de la pizzería, pues los clientes cuando vienen de noche y se sientan ahí en esa mesa cerca de la planta no la ven porque está bien camuflajeada 😅🤭.

The owner of the place gives her some vegetables to feed her, we haven't named her yet but we call her the mascot of the pizzeria. I hope she likes the pizzas 😋🍕 hahahahahaha. What I'm glad is that he survived and that he came to a nice place where we don't eat iguanas 🦎 and where we all like little animals and respect them ☺️💕.

This story is left in a nice happy ending. For she doesn't hurt anyone and stays on that floor without inconveniencing any diner. 😁

El dueño del local le da algunos vegetales para que se alimente, aún no le hemos puesto nombre pero la llamamos la mascota de la pizzería. Espero le gusten las pizzas 😋🍕 jajajajaja. Lo que me alegra es que haya sobrevivido y que vino a un buen lugar donde no comemos iguanas 🦎 y donde a todos nos gustan los animalitos y los respetamos. ☺️💕

Está historia queda en un bonito final feliz. Pues ella no le hace daño a nadie y permanece en esa planta sin incomodar a ningún comensal. 😁
