She's Afraid Of Talking In The Presense Of So Many People ~ Loh contest #142

There a challenge going in the ladies of hive community, telling us to reveal one of the greatest fears we had when we were young. Back then when I was little, I used to go for quiz and presentations representing my school and everyone felt I was very courageous and I was not scared to talk in the presence of thousands of people which was a lie.

I kept the fear inside of me for years until now and I've not told anyone since then. It got to the extent that I always feel shy anytime I want to talk in the presence of just twenty people but in my famuly or among my friends, they felt I could just express my feelings anytime and anywhere which was not so. I was suffering inside of me.

Now, this challenge has helped me to let it out since we have been told to reveal something that we have always been scared of. And I'm glad that I've gotten over it. Even when if feels like I want to be scared while talking in the presense of so many people, I will just summon the courage and make sure that I talk or present myself well. I've always been shy and I want to be an artiste. Someday, I'll go for shows and that's why I am trying hard to be able to express myself without fear even in the presence of millions of people.

Even if you are not planning to be an artiste or anything related to such, it will be so good if we all can learn to talk. Let's learn to speak up without fear. Let the fear go!

Speaking out as a child and as an adult is very important. My son has this issue and I have been working on making him to express himself very well. I really wish you laid Ur fears out, perhaps you could have gotten help

It's good that whilst you are feeling scared inside, you still go for it. Congratulations :)

I can somehow relate with that because being an introvert, I often think I'm not able to talk to crowds in certain occasions but discovered that I actually can especially during my working years where my job required meeting people and talking to them.

I used to share that same fear but was forced to overcome when I was charged with running a store meeting everyday for the employees. We had a lot of employees, lol!

Later on, I was asked to lead worship at church, and had a huge fear of singing in front of people, because you bare your soul when you sing. I still get nervous and have learned how to not let it show.

It's always been, and probably will be my hardest issue to deal with.
