Starlings photos - for #SMAP challenge, round 122

This post goes for 'Show me a photo (of a bird)' contest, round #122. Week's topic was 'Perching', and I should say this word was totally new to me! Pretty much of my photos match this prompt, because most often I manage to photograph birds sitting on a tree. And their barefoot legs clinging to branches always seem touchy to me - don’t know why!

Starlings were really my best friends for this post, cause... uhm,

...not that I photograph only starlings and no other birds perch ... but mostly it is the starlings that trustingly let me get close enough - and as a result, I get their legs squeezing a branch clearly visible (which is what I needed for this topic).

Starlings are great models, today I saw the young bird very close to me, but got no camera.
You got them all so nicely captured while perching on the trees.

Grazie Mille! This is one of my fave birdies to shoot (in terms of posing )))
And it is named 'star-ling' with a reason, as it has very pretty outlook! 🙏
