Cooking Some Doughnuts!

Hello everyone, I would like to share with you the way we make donuts.
Many Balinese or Indonesian like to drink coffee in the morning. And drinking coffee, people usually have some snacks, for example cakes or donuts. Some prefer "lonely" coffee which means just coffee without any cakes. We refer coffee by itself (with no friend, i.e. cakes) as lonely. In this article, I will share how we make the coffee friend, donuts.

Here is the ingredients:

  • 250 gram of wheat flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tea spoon yeast
  • 2 spoon of margarine
  • 4 tea spoon of sugar
  • 2 spoon of carnation milk

All the ingredients: wheat flour, margarine, egg yolk, carnation milk, and yeast.

Mix all ingredients.

Making little "balls" from the dough.

Ready to fry.

Frying the doughnut until the color turn brownish.

It's not the best looking doughnut in the world, but that's fine for me.

Add some cream and chocolate sprinkles.

The doughnut were ready.

To make the doughnut, mix all the ingredients using electric mixer until it is well blended. Then, when all mix well, we leave the dough for about an hour. You can start making little balls from the dough, but make it flat in one side. See the photo, please.

Next, fry the little balls in palm oil or any light oil you have. When the color turn brownish, it is ready to take out from the frying pan. Leave them to cool off.

The last step, you could add some cream and chocolate sprinkles. You can use any jam to your liking on the doughnut. In this article, we just used chocolate sprinkles.

Okay, now we have coffee friend, it's not going to be "lonely" anymore.
