Attending A Wedding Ceremony
It was early morning some time in April, I went to my aunt's house. The small road in front of her house had turned a temporary hall where the guest come for attening the ceremony.
It was the wedding of my cousin. This was the big day when the blessing was conducted. The wedding last for two days, this was the first day. The second day, the day after, was only for celebration where guests, friends and relatives come.
The blessing started in the morning, and it lasted for one whole day. It must have been very tiring for the groom and bride to be in that wedding traditional dress. I have been in that kind of situation fifteen years ago. It was hot, tiring, and felt like last forever. Somehow it was exciting, because this day marked a new phase in life.
There was a ritual where the bride and groom ate different food of various taste. They both had to eat salt, sugar, spices, cakes, and many others. This symbolized that they will face life which is sweet, bitter, or sour as they go through the marriage life.
Yup, that's true. That's why you got married, right?😃
As I went home home in the evening, I overheard one of the guest saying, "Okay, will come again for the your baby three-month-old ceremony."
Hmm, give them a break. They just got married.
Well, happy wedding to my cousin. I wish you have a happy marriage life.
