I took a look at the website www.purplepony.com because I had to laugh about the name. It redirects you to ponyswimstore.com which makes more sense to me - so I still wonder why www.purplepony.com? 😄

It's all about the ponies here! If they use ponyswimstore, everyone uses that term there, so I think it is to get some attention paid to it. Who doesn't want a purple pony? :)
