Hello everyone, trust we are doing great?

This is my entry to the ladies of hive contest and I will like to thank my husband @yanga for drawing my attention to this contest.

Now to the questions for the week. At first when I read through some of the contestant's post on the questions of the week, it got me thinking and then realizing that on daily basis there is that one thing that goes to every place with you. It has become a part of you that unconsciously you still go out with it even though there's a possibility you may not be able to use it at the place you are heading to.

It is a question that reflects more on your personal being and I'm excited to be a part of this week's contest. So I am going to give my own response to the two questions.

The first question is:

What is the most important thing that you ALWAYS carry with you, and why?

The most important thing that I ALWAYS carry with me is a PEN. Sometimes I may carry a book too but PEN is always with me.

Why???

I believe I can be inspired at anytime to write and I am more of a "pen on the book" writer than a tablet. Apart from writing, because you might just got inspired by an immediate experience, you never know when you learn from someone at a given opportunity of your geographical location. And once an idea is written down, it gives you another time to reflect on it and a better understanding.

Carrying pen with me, as weirdly as this might sound, makes me feel intelligent 🤓🤓🤓 because what's a writer without a pen....to me it's like a fashion designer who doesn't go out with her measuring tape.

I remember when I started sewing,I always had measuring tape in my purse constantly. I believe it's an identity of who you are. You never know when life places you with an opportunity and just because you are materially inefficient at that moment, you miss it. Carrying a pen with me gives me a prepared mind ..and whether I use it or not....I still feel good.

Another reason I go out with a PEN is that I feel complete. After dressing out so well and then I carry my handbag which honestly may just have my phone in it 😂😂😂😂😂 so I put a pen and book to feel complete.

I could recall within the week going for a job interview. There was literally nothing in my handbag apart form my phone, pen and a book. I was certain I would not use that book and pen but I just had to carry it just to feel complete 😂😂😂😂😂

Another reason I go out with a PEN is that most people see me to always have a PEN with me, so when issues of pen arises it is me they come to and I wouldn't want to disappoint 😂😂😂.

PEN IS MY "GOOD TO GO" OUTFIT 😉😉

Now the second question goes thus;

Are you a leader person or a follower, and why do you think that is?

Answering this question gave me a quick run down on who I am when it has to do with leadership.

Well as a lady whether in an office or not YOU ARE A LEADER. It depends on what you do at that moment that determines if you're a good leader or not. In different places we are placed in a position to either lead or follow. So what do you do when you are placed in a position to lead and when placed in a position to follow.

It all depends on YOU.

I would say naturally leadership responsibility comes to me...but I shy away to being a follower.
Based on my upbringing as a child and in church, I am trained to respect and follow at all times. That trait has aided me to be a good follower hence giving me a good opportunity to lead.

Like I said earlier, if placed in a position to lead I can be a good leader because I am success driven. I like to achieve goals and of course set a better standard for the next leader.

To answer the question, I am both a leader person and a follower

WHY
The reason is that I am trained to follow and raised to lead.
So at any location I find myself, I know whether to be a leader or a follower.

I believe one's ability to master both leadership and followership makes you a good person to work with people.

If you can't accept a timing to follow, you may overstep and cause a problem simply because you don't know how to follow when necessary. And if you don't know how to lead when given the opportunity, you may also cause a problem.

So I'd say master both acts of leading and following, recognize opportunities available and do great in it.
