Suicide Squad ISEKAI Episode 1 Review without Spoilers
The best thing about the characters in a story is that many can play with them and have the opportunity to make their version, that's how this kind of multiverses are born to enjoy, they don't have to be connected, they just have to be inspired as in this case Warner Bros. Japan has done.
Suicide Squad Isekai is an anime where precisely this mixture is what I found most striking about the product, to see this anime version of these American characters in an Isekai adventure.
I am a fan of the Suicide Squad because of how explosive and disposable they can be, they give me stories where I can see funny cruelty because of how bizarre they are and I can consider myself Otaku because boy do I love this universe that anime offers that applies to these characters because of the following aspects:
- The Animation:
The animation style is unique, it has its personal brand so to speak and seeing the Suicide Squad with this kind of style in drawing definitely appeals to me, the aesthetics of super heroes and villains is something that touches the heart of a fan and seeing different versions of them in products like this or even cosplays is something we always want to see.
One note to add is that anime tends to give more of that hand drawn presence, I highlight this because Toy Story type animations are not my target, so I'm glad that this product doesn't have such a heavy digital presence in sight.
- Japanese language for the characters:
Who doesn't want to give a Joker in Japanese language a chance... nothing more to add because I'm sure we all want to hear this and this includes other characters like Amanda Waller etc.
- Most striking thing about Episode 1:
Three things pleased me, the dynamics in the action because it is not at all a serious and complex, it has a lot of kinetics appealing with its animation style, voices and the Isekai genre which is a fantasy by visiting another time.
If any of the elements or all of the above appeals to you, this anime is for you, let me know in comments if it encourages you to watch it or if you have already seen it, what you think because I just saw the first episode and I have the hype to the maximum to see how this version of the story culminates for the characters of The Suicide Squad.
I dedicate each and every one of my posts and videos to my little dog named princess, we called her chiquito, she is no longer with us but from heaven she will see that her existence was valuable and the most beautiful thing that will exist in my heart and soul.

Well, after seeing two failed attempts at Suicide Squad movies and even a Video Game (just as failed) by the same band of sick people, one thing is clear to me and it is the following: I'm not going to expect anything serious or complex from a team like that. Now that, combined with the typical "Isekai" plot, makes this work a repertoire of repetitive gumballs with a group of characters that will change everything you expect to see, making it a bit crazy and amusing (only if you like these types of adventures with dangerous and sick equipment). I personally love it, to be honest, but hey, we have to wait for it to be broadcast completely to give a more secure opinion.
In the meantime, excellent review.
Serious the situation in Warner regarding the DC characters because of bad decision making of its board, I do not blame the directors of the films, but in if anything is that the Suicide Squad are not serious or complex 😂, at the moment the best is Peacemaker but the plot takes time to be seen to capture the attention.
Exactly, I'm waiting to see it complete, in the end there are positive things because the films for example can be criticized but the first film gave us Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn who is a perfect Harley, so I hope to see positive things from this American and Japanese combination because if they get it right, there will come more products that I would be happy to like in anime 😃
The only serious thing at DC is the superhero movies and TV series (except for The Flash). 🥴
And regarding Peacemaker, I haven't seen it, if you're talking about the movie or series they released. I've only seen the Suicide Squad movies.
And well, buying with the characters from the movies and with those from this anime, I like anime more because of a more personal taste for Japanese animation. 😅 But, apart from the incredible animation work it has, the construction and development given to the characters is very different from what they give in the movies. Here you feel more like Harley Queen is the way she is.

This anime is giving a lot to talk about, I would say that to some extent it is revolutionary as it has a slightly different vision of what we are used to seeing from Suicide Squad.
Thanks for sharing your interesting review.
It is an idea that can be exploited but not exploited, I remember an X Men series within the anime concept, now I hope it works although I think that the Isekai was not ideal for them because it takes them out of their forte which is the city but I hope it goes well so that there are more stories like this and Warner Japan is encouraged with other DC characters to show us their anime version 😀
es entretenido, me está pareciendo bueno jeje
it's entertaining, I'm finding it good hehehe
I've seen up to chapter 4 and it's going normal, I was expecting more and that more I hope will be achieved in the final stretch of the anime 🙂
I love this show...
At first i had my doubts but it's going so well!
I can't wait to review it at the end😂😂✨
The idea or concept is very striking, I have seen until episode 4 and I consider it goes normal, I expected more which I hope will be satisfied in the final stretch of the anime 😀
The issue here is how similar are the characters to the original ones in the movies or series? because I understand that even Peacemaker makes an appearance. I don't know, I guess I'll have to get used to the idea that it will be very different from what we are used to see.
I have to catch up with this anime.
I think that every inspired product has to have a certain essence, for example the Peacemaker has to be hilarious and I have seen it that way, now with the other characters it will be the same, they will stand out... at the moment I have seen up to the 4th episode and the problem I see is the story, waiting for the closing of the anime to see how much emotion it transmits me
