My Entry To The Ladies Of Hive Contest #54
This is a pretty interesting question because it's not something I would just sit down to think about but thanks to this challenge I will be considering this question as it affects me as an individual and also why I believe I am either a follower or leader.
I like to think every child is naturally born a follower although I'm sure a lot of people would disagree with me on this point because they would say that a leader is born and therefore could never have been a follower from birth.
A child born doesn't simply emerge into a leader without the right direction and knowledge. this direction and knowledge one must first learn from home under the leadership of our parents.
As a child we learn to walk and talk, to differentiate good from the bad, and as we grow in our journey as a follower he most likely meets other leaders who will guide him further in form of teachers and later on employees.

Alright to answer the question I will say I am both a 𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 and 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥 😉

I am someone who has never had any issue obeying authority or following a set guideline because I was raised to understand just how important this is for any organization or group to function properly.
The fact that I consider myself a follower is because when it comes to situations that require me to watch or follow I can easily adopt without any hesitation, it comes naturally plus "humility in my book doesn't make me less than anyone else, it just means I am smart enough to bury arrogance to birth the future I desire.

My first test at leadership was back in secondary school (high school) when I got chosen for two different student positions and even if it was just representing a class of fewer than 30 students it was still stressful at times but rewarding in the long run.
I started as the chalk perfect for my class 🙄 fun days!!! My duty was to make sure my classroom always had enough chalks for the days classes then wipe the chalkboard was always clean before the next class🤭 it might have been a minor position in the scheme of class back then but I took pride in that and learned to discharge those duties pretty well and by the time I made assistant class prefect I was pretty much used to "working to make my class better"
Over the years I am glad for numerous opportunities that have given me a chance to showcase this strong-willed young lady who is the perfect complimenting half to the jovial and inquisitive follower who never tires of asking because she truly wishes to learn MORE.
So in conclusion I will resound that while most people are content with just following or leading,I am happier that I can confidently say I am 𝗕𝗢𝗧𝗛.

Just like you I am a little bit of both.
I have seen good leaders struggle because their team had a few bad apples and though one might say hey, a good leader can turn them around, I say not always. The very reason why both are just as important to do your best at. One position is not better than the other ;D
Oooooh, I always wanted to be the equivalent to a chalk prefect, I thought cleaning the board was fun hahaha
You are absolutely right either one is a leader or follower without full dedication we can never make a success of it and been able to step into both roles given the situation requires full dedication and hunger for success ✌
Been a chalk prefect was fun as long as you don't mind all the chalk residues covering your hair and uniform by the end of the day 🤣🤣
