Is it time already????
Time to set sail on a new adventure!!
Who doesn't love an all-expense-paid trip 🤑🤑🤑 just have fun with $500 dreem dollars in my pocket plus I get to take two friends along!!! yeah, baby let's get this vacation STARTED.
On this trip, I will be bringing along my girlfriends Rose and Becky 😘😘 my girls and the best part is these two needed no convincing in tagging along 🤷‍♀️ never knew just two words FREE TRIP could be so powerful 😆😆😆

For this week's two-day vacation I choose the beautiful city of Sri Lanka as our destination of choice.

Sri Lanka is a gorgeous island in south Asia. formally called Ceylon island this virtually stunning country has one of the most industrious people in the world and it's also not just pretty safe to visit but the locals are just as friendly.
The official language for Sri Lanka is Tamil and Sinhala 🙃 might have a bit of an issue due to the language barrier in some parts but I'm sure you can make It work just like me and the girls did.

We arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport at around 4:50 am and we needed another 20 minutes to check in then we took a taxi for the 55minutes drive to the hotel where we would be spending our first night in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

We arrived at the 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗥 𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗟 at 6:10 am where I paid for our prebooked "deluxe triple room" which cost $77 inclusive of tax and the best part??? it comes with a FREE BREAKFAST!!! now that's what you call a great deal 👌

The room wasn't just beautiful it boasted not just free wifi, flat-screen, private bathroom offering free toiletries but the rooms also come soundproof 🛌 talk about noise control 👍 and the ocean and city view!!! 🥰🥰
Since it was so early and everyone was a bit tired from our 10hour long flight, we unanimously agreed on catching a few extra hours of starting our day.

We were up by 9:20 am, after showering we headed down to the restaurant for our 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 breakfast 😋 which turned out to be buffet-style which was delicious just as the atmosphere was lively.

Then it was time to start OUR day 😎, we choose to share a tuk-tuk to Jami UI-Alfar mosque which was a 24minutes drive from the hotel which cost 150SLR.
Our next stop was the Pettah floating market.
Afterward, we went to visit the Colombo national museum.

By 2 pm we stopped at a pizza parlor for pizza and some our first test of the locally brewed beer 🍻

Next, We visited the Viharamahadevi park before making a quick stop at the Dehiwala zoological garden as well as the Beira lake.

The Gangaramaya temple did cost Rs100 per adult(donation) for admittance but thankfully our final stop for the day at Galle beach was free.

We had dinner at this neat little restaurant close to the hotel that had an amazing variety of meals on offer from Thai to Italian 🍝

It was almost 10 pm when we returned to the hotel for the night and thanks to all the walking we did (which saved us quite a bit Untuktusksseveryone bbeatit was off to bed to catch some sleep before our early start to Kandel station in the morning.

We arrived at the Kendal train station before 8 am to await our 8:50 am trained to Ella which cost $19 per adult.
After checking in we were shown to our reserved second class seat and we made extra sure to get seats on the left side for an unobstructed view of the scenery on the ride.

As the train moved from station to station, sellers would get on board the train with selling everything from homemade rice
with curry 🍛 crispy papadums, corns, as well as fresh fruits .we, bought some chicken samosas and juices which were delicious by the way 💯

We arrived at the 𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗔 𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 hotel around and this location all three of us agreed on because it was just a short walk from the main street of Ella with a wide variety of restaurants and shops making it every tourist desire
and once more opted for "superior triple room" that came complete with I twin bed and 1 king-sized bed for $110 after tax and no breakfast included 😏.
was checked in by a polite and professional staff before we were shown to our room which I would admire took my breath away.

All too soon it was time for our final meal as we prepare to bid goodbye to the gorgeous and lush country of Sri Lanka 🥺😢😭

Breakfast was served on the terrace giving us one final chance to relive an exceptional two days with memories that would last us a lifetime.
