Went for a tour in my hometown. [ENG/ ESP]
I have been in the village for over 2 weeks now and it feels like I shouldn't leave because of the enjoyment I am having here. I do want to utilise this time before going back to my place where I live. Seriously, the thought of going back is just like "I have no option but to go back" since I would need to start getting ready for service and need to go and attend to a few things. But I have decided to go a few days to the opening of Nysc registration. Where I stay is kind of demotivating and the lifestyle there pisses me off; starting from unstable electricity to the rough use of the general bathroom and toilet, searching for water to use, etc.
This is why it is good to have a comfortable home you live in where you don't have to bother fetching water outside since water is being run inside, no need to queue to use the bathroom or toilet since you have your own space with no disturbance. These are the reasons I don't want to go back to my base again because everything is provided in my hometown since we built our own large house with different bathrooms and toilets, there is water running in the house and to crown it all, having to feel natural air and seeing nature around me.
I have been indoors since I arrived and wanted to go out to see what is happening outside. I decided to go out with Dad yesterday in his car and we went together with my cousin. Dad is working on a project and needs someone to guide him through. That was where we went while enjoying sightseeing too.
That is my dad coming out of a shop where they sell petrol at black market price. What is a black market?
A black market is an economic activity that takes place outside government-sanctioned channels. Illegal market transactions usually occur “under the table” to let participants avoid government price controls or taxes. The goods and services offered in a black market can be illegal, meaning their purchase and sale are prohibited by law, or they can be legal but transacted to avoid taxes.

He bought petrol to fuel his car before we continued our journey which I asked why he didn't buy from the petrol station across the road. He explained that it is the best option for them especially when there is a scarcity of fuel and when they need emergency petrol, especially at night to fill the generator, the petrol station would have closed whilst these shops are always open to save the day for them. Though black market prices are always higher than that petrol station because of their gains, they prefer to buy from them in the village.
After filling the car tank, we moved on while enjoying ourselves with music played from the car. After about twenty minutes, we got to the main road and headed straight to where Dad wanted to see someone. Unfortunately, we didn't meet the man and while dad and cousin stepped out of the car to get something before going back home, I was in the car waiting for them while taking pictures.
My hometown is blessed with lots of palm and coconut trees. Once you step into my town, the rest is to be welcomed by coconut trees from left and right and it got to a point, where I jokingly asked Dad if it was the trees they used to lay the foundation of this town. In our compound, we have 10 big coconut trees and I enjoy taking fresh and ripe coconut from the tree which we would use to eat either bread or garri. Apart from that, there are lots of fresh fruits to keep your skin fresh. This is another reason I am still staying so that I can have glowing skin before going back.
It took Dad and my cousin over twenty minutes to return to the car but I was already enjoying myself with this fresh corn 🌽
They came back when I was almost finishing the corn and we drove back home after making sure there was nothing to get or do again. It took us half an hour to get home as Dad kept stopping to see different people 🙃 At a point, I was feeling sleepy and slept for a while in the car, only for them to wake me up that we had gotten home. I was already feeling hungry, so I drank some garri with this kulikili which is also called Groundnut or Peanut cake in English.
Thanks for your time on my blog.

It's good to see you out Princess... Maybe you can go a little farther.. Perhaps in the woods hehe..are there hiking trails in your area?
There is none here which I know of but there is a waterfall that is very far here. I only visited once in year 2012.

Who nor like better thing? 😂 You've seen enjoyment and you want to go and stress yourself when you can enjoy a little more? It's almost impossible except something is wrong somewhere.
Your village is big and spacious. I can imagine following my dad out too, he always enjoy stopping at one place or another introducing me to people that I don't even know, it's quite tiring 🤣.
🤣🤣🤣 so tiring. Once you follow these parents out, just know you will become a star that day...she is my daughter...this is hope....she is now in school....and the rest 😆😆
I will make sure I enjoy village before going back to continue my rough life in Ondo state. Well, thank God, I have till November to stay there. Thank you for stopping by 😊😍
Hahaha, that's just how it is lol. Parents love bragging about their children once in a while but somehow I don't ever get use to it.
You should enjoy yourself oo, because NYSC is another trouble on its own.
It's my pleasure stopping by 🥰
I don't like it too. This is one reason I don't stay anywhere in the sitting room when visitors are coming. I will just pack my load inside the room until they are gone. Lol
That NYSC ehn... may God help me 🙂
Exactly, that's what I do too but sometimes my Dad can be really persistent, lol.
God will help you ☺️
Greetings to isa from Hive, hope you are well, thank you very much for sharing this day in this amazing community, good that you were able to go with your father to visit your family bases. I understand that it is a place that you do not like very much, however it is always knowing where was the beginning of everything and the reason for the material evolution, I liked the coconut bushes, they are incredible, good that you have in your residence, I wish you a happy and successful day.
I appreciate your time reading too. Thanks a lot.
I can feel your pain in the aspect of going back home because infact you need to. It's important you take care of things before ypur service but ehh standing and waiting for your turn to bath is another tiring aspect! Hopefully the place of your ppa would be great and you might likely relocate.
I can see you enjoying the beautiful atmosphere of your village and eating all the eatables lol..ekwushe o
