Everyone tends to have what works best for them when it comes to staying fit especially when you have a pot belly stomach like @burlarj or a big tummy like mine, even though it goes down on two conditions; one is when I have stressed myself too much and the other when I tend to eat my food late than the usual time. It is always obvious to know I have just eaten when you see my tummy shoot out like that of a pregnant woman πŸ˜…

I am never the kind of person to go out for exercise and I love to admire those with a flat tummy and fit bodies, and when I find out their methods, it's either they are watching their weight by the food they eat in little quantity or going to the gym to make it happen. The day I tried watching my weight too by reducing the amount of food I eat, tried it for two days and I went back to my normal self because that food wasn't enough for me. I love eating in large quantities at once and if it would mean not eating anything for that day again, it's okay. I don't know how to eat in little quantities or even take fruits only.

My sister had advised me to go to the gym or try working out at home by myself which I would engage in for a few days and before I know it, that is the end. Many times, it's laziness that makes me keep postponing doing exercises even at home.

There was a time last year when ZizyMena created a group for those interested in working out to reduce belly fat. It went on for a few months and it ended. The group is no more functioning but then, it kept me committed to my goal which I felt changed in my tommy. After then, the #Dreemport challenge came around which prompted us to engage in daily exercises from Monday to Friday and it lasted for a month too. Those times, I was so committed and focused because I didn't want to miss a day. It helped a lot!

I continued even after the challenge ended and after a while, I couldn't continue again. Sometimes, I might forget in the morning before going for lectures and by the time I return home in the evening, I would have been so tired and wouldn't do anything. It went on like this until I forgot completely and took my mind off reducing any belly fat even after I finished school.

Then comes a time when I needed it again and I downloaded another workout exercise from YouTube. It helped me stay focused for three weeks again and it stopped. Maybe it's because I am just too busy with blogging and other things which I had to delete the video and decided to just do something randomly which I went doing once in a while till now.

Drinking water: You would agree with me that drinking enough water especially very early in the morning helps a lot to stay hydrated. This is something I never miss every day up till today because I find it helpful and necessary for my day to remain productive and have a good body shape.

Stretching my legs and arms: This is even common for me. When I wake up, I stand up and stretch my legs and arms for a while and I feel some pain a little which leaves after a while.

Push-up: I can do this up to 30 and would get tired afterwards. This is one of the exercises recommended for a flat tummy which I love doing most because of how painful it is when you are through as I believe the pain means that some calories are burnt.

Walking: I discovered that this exercise is one of the best too in burning calories and giving that smart body you need, provided you keep to it. When I want to get something anywhere, instead of taking a bike, I prefer walking to a distance even if I need to take a bike. Walking for some minutes daily is a great tip for reducing belly fat too. I kept to this method for the time I was in the village and it was really a great time for me and my tummy as it got reduced.

Other times, I do;

  • Planks
  • Lunge
  • Squat
  • Running on one spot.

Thanks for your time.

Living in Nigeria on its own is enough to keep anybody fit, we are always running from one problem or the other 🀣

You are good at pushups o, you can do up to 30 but I can manage only half of that at a time

Let me sit and learn. Seriously you have made a lot of effort in trying to stay fit, I must commend your effort but it is not enough. You need to put more effort.

It takes more than just determination to stay fit because the ability to be consistent is lacking in many of us. We may start out well but end up not reaching where we ought to reach. Like drinking water early in the morning, I started it some years ago but I don't know what happened now,i can't trace that routine anymore πŸ˜‚

Therefore I will advice you get back that video, shey laziness used it's tricks on you by making you delete it?🀣 Please get it back and continue from where you stopped.

Hahahaha.. this is what I do to make me remember; every night, I place my water bottle beside my bed and once I wake up the next day, my eyes goes straight to the water and I drink immediately. I never missed a day doing that since then.

Yea, I will try my best going back to it because then, I enjoyed it. I will definitely trace my time back to it again.

Thanks for your beautiful comment, @emreal

I think that's the best thing to do. I will give that method a try.

Ah Omo, I've been doing push ups but I never sabi 30, you dey try oo.

But seriously, working out isn't easy at all, some days you're feeling the vibe other days you just want to give up.

One needs serious self-discipline to keep pushing.

Like for real? Wow, I don't think I can do 30 at a go, my maximum is 25. Well, you really surprised me with your workout experience.

Oh you can do 30 push-ups at one go? Wow. You are a strong woman o. Me like this, I cannot do push ups to save my own life...πŸ˜…

I actually do work out too. And from the day I started, I realised how much better I felt as each passed. There were fatigues and all from the whole exercises, but I sure slept better every night and felt much at ease more often.

However, it really is not easy when you are doing it all alone. Having some partners, of friends in the same program could help one perform better.

When you had Dreemport's challenge, you kept at it for a whole month. This is because you had someone to be accountible to.

Well done!

You are here trying to workout to lose weight and I’m also here trying to workout to gain weight πŸ˜…. I downloaded an app , was consistent for three weeks and stopped. I think about getting back to it every single day but I’m just lazy

Hahaha, I totally get that, when eating I also prefer eating in large quantity too but recently I just easily get tired of eating, like I enjoy starving myself 😏. I don't engage in exercises everyday but I do once in a while, I'm just lucky that I don't have too much fat if not by now, it's only God that knows how I would be looking like πŸ˜….

Honestly, those people that watch their weight via food are trying. I know of some friends that would just take a bite of food and they're pretentiously okay. Haaa! Me!

Thank God Sha, me that eat to stupor and eat later too 😁

Oh, I hear you, Princess! I feel like I need the challenge to keep me in line, answerable to someone and something else other than just myself because otherwise I let other things get in the way... and before I know it... I run out of time in the day. Poor excuse I know 😒 I'd love to see us do another Healthy life-style Dreemport challenge again one day... because that was really helpful - I loved that! !ALIVE

Popped in from Dreemport this evening. #dreemer for life.

I tried that pose in the lead image and it took 2 days to get my body back to normal @princessbusayo!!! Hahahahahahaha!!! Seriously, I remember @dreemsteem having that week long thing about the excercising and drinking the water and prayer and all that. It's hard to keep going on a certain regimen a lot of times, and like you said, that one lasted for 3 weeks. Um, that wasn't the one (the app) that Dreem said was inhumane and extreme torture is it??? Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously cool post.

This post was obtained through Dreemport.
