I practised macro photography during my walk.

We keep learning every day and last week was one of those days where I discovered something in my phone that I never noticed before. The reason I bought this phone in March of this year was for a better camera and to capture good pictures as memories. After six months of using this Samsung Galaxy A14, I got to know it has the macro features last week, and since then, I have been setting it to take lots of pictures. I read a post where the user said she tried macro photography for the first time and I was curious to see if my phone could do it. I went to Google and typed, "Does Samsung Galaxy have macro features?" It took me to YouTube where I watched the 2 mins guide on how to take a shot using the macro features. I tried it by taking this shot and was excited that I had explored something amazing in my phone.

I compared it to my normal capture and saw how clean and neat the macro shot was. Ever since then, it has been exciting to take different shots in my hometown since there are lots of captivating nature of flowers and trees around us. It happened that my aunt came to visit us and decided to leave after spending days with us. My cousin and I decided to see her off to the main road so she could start her journey and my exploration into taking macro shots was activated.

I love to capture everything that comes my way because I believe in capturing for memory's sake. I want to be able to look at my gallery and appreciate those moments and the stories behind them. As my aunt and cousin were in the front talking about something I wasn't paying attention to, I was busy doing my job. My village is surrounded by bush and forest with lots of flowers and plants. Everyone has a farm where they plant crops and fruits for their daily living. While some owned farm for their sustenance, others would sell their harvest and make money from their produce.

I didn't know the dog was behind me and when I turned to take another shot, I saw it drinking water from the mud and I captured it. As my phone clicked, the dog looked up, watching what I was doing and stopped drinking the water. As I moved, the dog moved too. Being freaked about dogs, I made a sound to chase it away which it did and I ran along to meet up with those at the front. My cousin kept laughing at what I was doing as she couldn't understand why I was taking shots every time we walked.

Then, we got to the junction of the road where she would take a bike or cab to the garage.

This is the junction that leads to the King's palace. Whenever I am travelling home, I would tell the bike man to take me to the king's palace because that is how we described our house since the palace is just a stone's throw from our house. I am always proud of mentioning the king's palace when describing our house to anyone. As we kept waiting for any bike man to pass by, I continued taking pictures while being fond of the macro features.

This plant is called "Senna occidentalis" through Google Lens. I browsed for more information about this beautiful yellow plant and got this:

I continued my love for capturing pictures and took more shots.

My aunt got a tricycle instead of a bike and we waved goodbye at her while we turned back home. I didn't stop taking more shots and these are more that I took.

Then finally, I captured this baby goat who was looking for its mother and kept screaming, wandering in the forest perhaps luck would help find its mother.

This is the end of my walk which I took the advantage of seeing my aunt off and I was glad to go out and take these beautiful and natural pictures. I didn't edit them as they are raw. I like taking raw photos and most times when they aren't clear enough, I use the edit feature on my phone.
