Por fin he logrado adquirir una pc en condiciones, con lo cual podré jugar muchos videojuegos que tenía en espera. He decidido comenzar con Celeste, ya que es uno de los indie con más renombre, al punto que ganó Indie del año el 2018 en los The Game Awards. Su director es Maddie Thorson y la desarrolladora es Matt Makes Games.

I have finally managed to acquire a pc in conditions, with which I will be able to play many video games that I had on hold. I decided to start with Celeste, since it is one of the most renowned indie, to the point that it won Indie of the year 2018 at The Game Awards. En Celeste, manejamos a Madelaine, nuestra protagonista que intenta escalar la montaña Celeste. Es un juego del tipo plataformas, donde recuerda a un clásico Mario Bros 2D, pero con una mayor velocidad, bastante dificultad, vidas infinitas y con diversos acertijos y secretos, que rellenan todo el título. Es un juego en el que aprendes mientras juegas, y tu habilidad poco a poco se va afilando.

In Celeste, we manage Madelaine, our protagonist who tries to climb the Celeste mountain. It is a platform type game, where it reminds us of a classic 2D Mario Bros, but with a higher speed, quite a lot of difficulty, infinite lives and with various puzzles and secrets, which fill the whole title. It's a game where you learn as you play, and your skill is gradually sharpened.

La estética es bonita, con un arte pixelar reluciente y muchos efectos llamativos. También tiene una buena banda sonora que nos acompaña en el transcurso de los mapas y permite mantenerte pegado al juego. La historia va de superación y autoconocimiento, intenta de buena manera mezclarlo con las acciones que realizas. Es un juego que puede tomarte mucho tiempo si quieres sacar el 100% de sus misterios y logros, pero también permite completarlo de manera fácil con un modo asistido.

The aesthetics are nice, with shiny pixel art and lots of eye-catching effects. It also has a good soundtrack that accompanies us throughout the maps and keeps you glued to the game. The story is about self-improvement and self-knowledge, and it tries to mix it in a good way with the actions you perform. It is a game that can take you a long time if you want to get 100% of its mysteries and achievements, but it also allows you to complete it easily with an assisted mode.
