FAIR AND UNFAIR THINGS IN OUR SOCIETY:#223

The world is a place full of fair and unfair things, and most of the fair things we have seen are because of laws that govern us. Maybe some citizens would be treated so unfairly if not for laws, especially the poor. But even with that, some things are still unfair. In this article I will be writing down some fair and unfair things in today's society. Let's delve.

FAIR THINGS IN OUR SOCIETY TODAY
*Equality: one thing that is fair in our society today is the ability for people to have equal rights and freedoms, whether rich or poor, have the right to speech, freedom, opportunities, religion and so on. This way, everyone can compete for daily living and express themselves without fear.

*Accountability: everyone is held responsible for their actions and behavior, especially when their actions affect others. No one is punished for another's offense except he or she accompanied the offender. That is one thing I find fair in our society.

UNFAIR THINGS IN OUR SOCIETY TODAY.
*Discrimination:In today's society there's unequal treatment based on religion, status, tribe etc. It is unfair when we treat people of a different religion with disdain, or talk down on people of a particular tribe. I also see it as unfair when we treat people of a low status with disregard. These things happen in our society today.

*Unfair treatment of women: it's so sad that, in today's society, women are the only ones blamed and ridiculed for untimely pregnancy, and for being a single mother, people often ignore the fact that it's a man who put them that way and should also be blamed and held responsible for his actions.

Even in marriage, most women have turned to slaves, going through abuse of all kinds by their husbands, got cheated on, and society sees nothing serious about it using the claim that “men are polygamous in nature” and some women had to even take the husband's responsibility the man neglected to provide for the kids just because they don't want the society to see them as incapable of keeping their marriage because of how people see divorce women. This is truly unfair. Wives were meant to be partners treated with love by their husbands, not slaves.
