That one thing

You know how there's always that one thing we all want to do that we just feel like we can't, not exactly because we can't, but for some lame excuse or the other. Well, my excuse is nothing but fear and laziness.

And this is because the one skill that I've always been fascinated about is one that most people claim to be difficult to learn and it is none other than hacking/coding.

You see, just like every other kid who get excited whenever they see a movie that has to do with hacking, I too found it fascinating and would often daydream about what life as an hacker would feel like. I liked the idea of being able to access any websites or phone by just punching in some keys on my laptop. It made me feel I was superior and powerful.

So I tried making that dream a reality and decided to learn a bit of coding. Broke and almost poor, I couldn't afford any of the online courses but I was determined, so I decided to learn myself and found a website that offered free courses online on HTML.

I had tried learning HTML at the time because I had heard that as a beginner, that was the one course you had to know as it was the easiest form of coding to learn. Funny enough, the easiest form of coding was so hard for me to learn that I had given up halfway, it was almost as if the course was after my life. Because how could that be the easiest and yet I was struggling that much, what happens when I get to the other form of coding like CSS, JAVASCRIPT or PYTHON?

It was during that time that I decided coding or hacking wasn't for me because although it seem like a cool thing to learn, it was in no form an easy task. And now, fast forward to three years later, here I am, thinking about how diffeeent my life would have been like if I had taken the whole thing a little bit more serious and learnt how to code.

Anyways, I guess the great thing in this story is that it's still not too late for me to start now. I just have to put in the time, work and be very dedicated to it. And if I ever get low on motivation, all I have to do is remind myself how much this guys make just because they know how to punch in some keys in a computer and make it do stuff.

You can't do something doesn't mean you shouldn't try. You can start and as time goes on become good at it.... I remember when I first started making confectioneries, I was really poor at it but now I'm proud of myself. I won't say I can make all but I can try and the outcome is always amazing... Just start and you'll be amazed at what you can do.
