My fear for tiny animals

All my life, I've always been scared of tiny venomous animals and this is because they can sneak into your home, bite you, and you wouldn't even know until all of it is done. Unlike other big deadlier animals like the bear or lion or whatever.

I feel like due to how big those animals are, I could easily spot them from a mile away and come up with a plan on how to get out of that place alive, but can't do the same if the animal is already right next to me, ready to attack, just because they're tiny and had silently crawled all the way to my side.. So yeah, I'm talking about snakes.

You see, I've been lucky enough to not have had too many encounters with snakes in my life, and I would honestly like for it to remain so. I've seen videos of how snakes can easily be found in homes in Australia and how it's kinda like a common thing for them over there. Whenever I see videos like that, I get freaked out and just remind myself why I'm never traveling to Australia even if I was given a free ticket.

If I remember correctly, I've only had three separate encounters with snakes in the twenty-something years of me being alive. The first being that one time when my brother had seen a white snake in our home, but luckily for us it had swallowed a giant rat and could no longer move until it digested it, and that was the opportunity we took to kill it.

The second time was at church, I had seen a green snake lying comfortably on a green grass and had immediately called for help because I was scared. Luckily for everyone, that one got killed before it could harm anyone.

The third time was a bit different because this snake was already dead, but what made it stand out was the size of it. You see, I've always thought that snakes are just tiny creatures, except for the anaconda I've seen in movies and all that. But the first time I saw a giant snake myself, it head had been cut off and yet I still was scared of it.

To me, it felt like it could come alive at anytime and I didn't want to be anywhere near it when it did.

Someone at my street had brought it home, and according to the man, he had bought it off some guys after they killed it and he had brought it home to cook for himself and his family. Now speaking on the height of this thing, it was hung across a fence and yet each side of it was still touching the ground.

After witnessing that, I feel like I've had my fair share of seeing snakes and I really wouldn't want to see any more ever again.

The funny thing is that I get so scared that sometimes, right in the middle of the night, whenever I hear weird noises in my room, I wake up, praying to God that a snake hasn't somehow crawled into my home and is just chilling somewhere, waiting for the perfect time to strike.
