Baby boy treatment

As a man, there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be pampered every now and then by our love ones. I know that as men, we're expected to be tough most of the time, pretending as if nothing in this world can get to us when it's actually the complete opposite.

About four days ago, I had gotten up from bed and discovered that I wasn't feeling the same way I felt the previous night when going to bed. And although it's been years I last fell ill, it didn't take long for me to realize what the problem was. So I had immediately picked up my phone and called my brother who also advised me to call my father and tell him about it.

I know I'm a grown man and should be able to take care of myself but in my family, we do this thing where we always make sure to alert at least one person at home whenever we fall ill, that way, that person can help call others attention to the issue just in case it gets out of hand.

Well, I had taken my brother's advise and went ahead to call and tell my dad about the sickness. I was feeling very weak, had a little bit of headache and some cough and catarrh, so before I went to the chemist shop to know what was wrong with me, I already had an idea of what it was, it was none other than malaria.

Anyways, all of this happened about four days ago and ever since then, my dad and brother have been calling and checking on me nonstop, even going further to ask if I need cash for anything. These are people that usually call me ones in a month in the past. Even my friends over here have suddenly become really nice people, wanting to help me in whatever way they can.

I won't lie, all of the attention and care feels amazing, unfortunately most men like myself only gets to feel this kind of love when we're ill or there's something wrong with us, other than that and everyone is back to treating us like shit because we're men and should be used to such shitty treatment.

If you ask me, it's a sad thing and one that shouldn't remain so. Every man should at least be entitled to something I call a "baby boy treatment" every now and then, where we get to be pampered and shown enormous love because there are a lot of stress that comes with being a man and I'm not downplaying the other gender, I'm just saying that there are more possibility of a lady getting pampered for being a lady than that of a man getting pampered for being a man and that equation has to be balanced... ASAP
