Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. We are onto a new week and hopefully you are having a great day this far. Mine has been ok and as the day draws to a close, am raring to go with some of the day's trending news and my stepping activities. Thank you for stopping by yet again and let's get cracking 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹.
Globally, Gaza trending as Hamas accepted a ceasefire proposal that would halt the bombing in Gaza.
However, Israel has rejected that deal that Hamas so hoped they would accept😿.
Anger in Tel Aviv with protests tonight as people came out to oppose Netanyahu's rejection of deal that would have freed Israelis being held captive in Gaza.
The Israeli war cabinet has voted to approve a ground invasion in Rafa🙀. This despite warnings that the death toll among civilians would be catastrophic.
Israeli army has asked civilians in Rafa to move to Al mawasi, meaning any time now, it's about to go down😿
Let's wait and see how things turn out, but it's not looking good😿.
In Europe, France trending as Chinese president Xi Jinping continued his trip in Paris. Hosted to a state dinner by president Macron. Xi agreed not to sell arms to his friend, Putin😹.
The UK trending as students in Oxford and Cambridge set up encampments to protest the war in Gaza. They have been watching their counterparts in the US
Speaking of which, across the pond in the US, a judge threatened Trump with jail time for violating a gag order for a third time. He can't seem to accept that he isn't above the law😿.
It's the 12th day of the hush money trial and the judge is already feeling overwhelmed 😹.
Also trending tonight, Zendaya and Jennifer Lopez stun on the met gala red carpet. Celebrities are showing up for fashion's night of nights in New York city😻.
